We did this trip also! I'd recommend getting spiny lobster fresh, key lime pie and fresh coconut cut and straw right from a stand! We got ours on the side of the road on the way down. We liked bahia Honda snorkeling, bars and chickens! In key west! Sunsets and mojitos!

I saw my street when you were in Marathon! I take my toddler to Sombrero Beach everyday after work so she can play until the sun sets. If you come back down this way, check out some of the local (secret) spots like the Jumping Bridge on Sugarloaf Key.

We almost moved there but my mother did not want to be stranded with only one way out. Shame, the place we were looking to buy would be worth millions today.
