1st year at Hogwarts: we start with stars in our eyes... 2nd,3rd,and 4th year:we start believing that we belong...5th and 6th year: but does always rise... 7th year Battle of Hogwarts: and no one tells u where u went wwwwrrrrooonnggg... Potterheads 4 ever
Man, this song gets me in my feels. I'm 21 and about to graduate college, but I vividly remember being 17 and extroverted, but so desperately scared to put myself out there. Unable to, even. I would try to make conversation and I'd choke from social anxiety and awkwardness, even though I could write paragraphs and paragraphs in my journals about what I wanted from a group of friends. Shyness at that age was almost like solitary confinement for me, I just couldn't escape my own fears. This song really captures that feeling. I just want people to know that it gets better! You become more confident with time, as you continue to face your fears and grow into yourself. You meet like-minded people with time. You will learn to enjoy being alone and also with people, depending on the context. You are NOT always going to be what you've always been <3 I promise. Take it from the most awkward loner from my high school who teachers would just describe as "quiet." I still have negative thoughts and imposter syndrome sometimes, but the more you put yourself out there, the more you grow and the easier it gets.
My idol, which is my classmate, Chadwik, sung this today in choir. That kid is absolutely immaculate. Everyone crowded around him and he got the loudest standing ovation I've ever heard, it wasn't even a big group of people. He has the best singing voice I've ever heard in my life. It's so hard to describe how he is, not just his singing but him in general. I could try for days to describe him but I could never do it right. You would only understand if you've met him. But Chadwik, if you see this I really wanted to give you about 50 complements on your singing today so let me just say, that was some absolutely amazing singing, and if I had to I would gladly only listen to your singing for the rest of my life.
Oh my gods, this is a really good song. He has a great voice, so simple yet complicated. Soft yet firm. Gentle and harsh. Thank you for this, I really needed this.
When i did choir we had an introduction for the newer kids (they saif their name, favorite song and gave us a sample of it) and one girl brought out a fuckin guitar and sang this song in song in its entirety with full vocals.
"Ive learned to slam on the brake, before i even turned the key" this line relates to me a lot these days because im currently learning how to drive and this song makes me feel like I gotta keep going even when my family says i drive bad
Idk why but I feel like this song would be perfect for Peggy Schuyler.
caughs in dry throat from singing too much
This song makes me grossly emotional. Especially 'Will I ever be more than I've always been?'
This gives me sad Percy Jackson hours
