  • Affordable motoring is usually synonymous with bare-bones transportation. Stripped back and featureless, washes of hard plastic and scratchy materials are usually the order of the day. And good luck finding an engine under that bonnet! Thankfully, Suzuki knows how to cram a lot of convenience features into an affordable vehicle. The Fronx is a new nameplate for the brand and it brings with it a surprising amount of equipment, even in the entry-level variant.
This Suzuki Fronx costs less than R300 000 but still manages to look good and drive well, and, because it's a Suzuki, the fuel consumption is more than agreeable, too! Here's what we think of the endearing Suzuki Fronx.

We took delivery of a GLX Auto in October 2023. This is meant to be my wife's vehicle, but it soon became our daily commute. Not a single negative comment. The auto is somewhat lazy in Gauteng, but we did not buy it for street racing. Very comfortable, great on the open road, easy to drive and we really enjoy all the features. Value for money!

Naturally aspirated engines inherently suffer at Reef altitudes, and as a result, the auto gearboxes shift at what seems like the incorrect time.Glad to hear you're enjoying the experience so far! [Chad]

I took delivery of the GL in white in November, and I love it!!! Except that the white is not the original colour I wanted.

I dont know if it is the dedollarisation, but it would makes viewing your videos better if prices are also given in dollar equivalent so we dont have to pause then first go aonda to convert Rands

Our videos are created for the South African market and a dollar value is of little interest to the majority of our viewers. [Chad]

That would be something that the dealership would have to address; it could be a multitude of things. [Chad]

That's a very light car if it only has 4 wheel studs.
