He was only in the shadows of Bob because Bob was chosen to be the front man and leader for the Wailers. Which wasn't fair to Peter Tosh that's the main reason why Tosh left the group to go pursue a Solo Career. Even Bunny Livingston left the Wailers too. Matter fact Tosh formed his own Wailer band.

Tosh was only overshadowed by Bob and no one else. To me, he is the best next to Bob.
