I cite my sources and they may differ than other people's accounts, so I don't guarantee the actual accuracy of my videos. - Hudba
Here's the story I did about the career of Helmet czcams.com/video/5OTdg3e1kXk/video.html
Trust company is criminally underrated. In 3 albums they literally don’t have a bad song.
I totally agree
This band got me through a tough period of my life in my preteens and teens and into adulthood. Even now I go back on occasion and feel like I can still relate to songs like retina and the war is over. Their music really hasn't aged one bit. I hope they put out something soon. They've been such a great band.
this was the first band I first really got into as at 14 year old, spawning a great metal taste through the years
I got into this band because as a kid I downloaded a rare deftones song called “Hover”… Then eventually found out it wasn’t deftones but actually trust company I went a out and bought the lonely position of neutral on cd and I loved it. It was a great time, skateboarding, baggy jeans, spiked gelled hair. Good memories.
Lol I remember seeing that mp3 floating around. The internet was a wild place for file sharing
I remember hearing Deftones version of Hover on my friends mp3 and thinking “hey that’s my band Trust Company”
Dude. What a nostalgia pull! I had that EXACT same download. 👏👏👏
Same here lol I still have a burned cd somewhere with the song listed as deftones and found out later it was trust company
Meee too😊😊😊
Downfall might be TrustCompany's most well-known song, but they've got a swarm of excellent songs. Falling Apart, Stronger, The War Is Over, Silently, Crossing The Line, Erased, Finally, Deeper Into You, The Fear, Running From Me and Someone Like You are amazing as well!
And drop to zero
And Figure 8
And Stumbling.
"The Lonely Position of Neutral" is one of my top albums of all time. It's one of the few albums I can listen front to back with no skips. This band was so good, sucks they stopped.
I totally agree!
Agreed, I can listen to that album in its entirety. One of my all time favorites
Their song “Surfacing” from their sophomore album (True Parallels) was awesome 🤘🏽
Same! It’s rare to find a no skip album for me. I’ve even rebought the cd multiple times
You know they're back right! They played at the blue ridge rock festival and delivered!!
This band was AWESOME! “Downfall” was great, but “Running From Me” was my absolute favorite!!
Mine was "Falling Apart"
That song is still up there as one of my top 10. Very underrated band
I prefer figure 8
@@_-_-_-Prof.BoskoBiathi-_-_-_ I had a 5 speed little blue ford escort back in the day and I loved to blast Figure 8 and act like my car was fast revving it up back in the day
The riffs in that song are just simply 🫠🫠🤩🤩🥹🥹
They released an album in 2011 called 'Dreaming in Black and White' that's significantly better than anything they did before it, I would highly recommend everyone give it a listen
Definitely an overlooked gem!!
I’ll go take a look. I remember I couldn’t quite get into the albums after the debut. But I’ll go run it across my ear drums a couple more times
Dreaming in Black and White is better than The Lonely Position of Neutral, and I absolutely love Neutral!
@@ericmarvel909 I love their first album too but it’s definitely a product of it’s time, I feel like dreaming in black & white has a more timeless sound
Significantly better???
Painfully underrated. Theyre debut album was huge in my formative years and still listen to this day. No skips. Played it once at work and a girl working next to me liked it and inquired and told her about it and said "came out the year you were born haha" and her eyes got all big lol. Hopefully a new wave of exposure is in the cards for them and they get the recognition they've deserved.
Bama native here. Kevin visited a restaurant I was working at at the time and got a pic with him. Super chill dude and that was like 10 years ago. I remember “Downfall” being on that Disney Skating game.
The lonely position of neutral is one of my favorite albums to this day
Still a fan of TRUSTcompany as they are one of the few bands from their era that aged well. They also produced good albums instead of just wrapping 40 minutes around the three singles you wrote. One of the few bands from the early 2000s that I can say never disappointed me. Hope the best for all members and hope the reuniting goes well.
We truly had a blast making Dreaming!!! Thank you for all of the kind comments!
underrated band - lead singer definitely had a unique voice
Also found out about them because of WWF. Downfall was the theme song for Vengeance 2002.
I always thought Trust Company's lead singer's vocal style was a mix of Chester Bennington (Linkin Park) and Mike Muir (Suicidal Tendencies).
The Lonely Position of Neutral was a great album. I remember getting that cd in '02 and listening to it so many times. The singer had an interesting voice, and the band had a good sound.
TRUSTcompany and Smile Empty Soul were my go-to in 2002..I was 17
@@erased84 *Wasn’t Smile Empty Soul, 2003?*
As the years have gone on Trust Company has become my favorite band. Those two albums are just absolutely perfect.
I still listen to their 3 albums regularly, have all 3 of them sitting right here. SO underrated, Stronger, Downfall, Running From me are just masterpieces of skate punk metal mixies. Their last album Dreaming in black and white is just a masterpiece from start to finish. Each album was even stronger (no pun intended) than the last. it's so sad they disappeared. I'm listening to a least a few of their songs once a week at least. True Parallels, Lonely Position of Neutral and Dreaming in Black and White are all 3 masterpieces to my skate punk metal heart..lol
Y’all will all be happy to know that the band got back together and is touring again! 😁 I saw them last night and they truly blew my mind. They sounded phenomenal! If anyone is interested, The next date so far is welcome to Rockville in Jacksonville, May 9-12!
I saw them at the gravity games when I was a teenager. It was my first real concert, and made me see music differently.
Life changing moment!
❤
I love being reminded of bands I forgot about. I had the CD. No idea what happened to it. Thank God for Spotify. Any band. Anywhere. Any time. I'm gonna listen to them tonight.
This song was in Disney Skate Adventure which still to this day blows my mind
yup and they had a bunch of songs in some other games like Rock Band and NFL Blitz Pro
Interesting, my band and Trust Company played shows together with Flyleaf.
Their sound guy was GOOD!
I've been getting into a Trust Company phase listening to the debut album. I'm so glad that this video came out at the right time.
Also, the lead singer had a cool whisper-like voice that I really liked! It was kinda unique.
*You can thank the deftones for that.* 😆💯
@@mid-s_to_earlysViBEZ lol that’s true!!
This band had some great songs back when they went by 41 Down, Laslo comes to mind.
The biggest promotion they got was arguably by WWE of all places. Having not one, not two, but three songs used as themes for PPVs watched by millions and sampled every week on national TV got their name out there more than anything else.
The song was the theme song for one of the WWE pay-per-views, I can't remember which one. But that's how I became a fan. I got introduced to a lot of hard rock music because of WWE. Drowning Pool, Rob Zombie, Limp Bizkit, Trust Co, all had ppv theme songs.
I love Trust Company it's too bad they only released 3 albums I hope they can reunite again
I heard Downfall when WWE made it a theme for a PPV back then. I liked it so I bought the album soon after. I think I still have it or maybe not...
Just another band from my years of youthful exuberance...
I really liked their comeback album dreaming in black and white, and thought theyre were back in full swing. I was hoping for more
TLPoN is still one of the most underrated albums from this era.
Trust company is insanely underrated. How whenever Top whatever " Rock one hit wonders of the 2000s" lists are compiled and "Downfall" isn't on the list or even mentioned is absurd. You know bc can't omit songs like " Headstrong" ( the most corny, lame overrated song of the past 25 years), the Franz Ferdinand cover of take me out called "Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven or " Wherever you will go" or whatever 1000 songs it ripped off or bands that ripped this off and don't forget the awful covers bc "Downfall" doesn't compete and wasn't 13 year old girls favorite song.
Thanks for the love !
Agreed 100 percent!!
Are you having a stroke
Any 2000's ALT/Nu metal list without "Downfall" or "Wasteland" by 10 years on it instantly loses any sort of credibility (imo), MX Unleashed and the song Downfall is forever burnt in my memories lol such good times.
@@joshmoates9730 Thanks for your part in Trust Company!!!
I bought their 1st album when I was 11 and would get home from school shortly before my parents and jam out to this while doing homework on my dads stereo! Good memories.
The LPON stayed in my old car single CD player back in 2002 for months on end. I could listen to it straight through over and over and never got bored. man I miss those days.
As a teenager in Montgomery, my friends and I would go to their shows (41Down) and do a little bit of partying with them. Good times from what I can remember
1:36 whoa! :D I was not prepared.
Some of their songs are still in my rotation.. underrated band
DUDE!!! This is the first time I have EVER seen what you look like. Now I can put a face to the narrator. LOVE your videos my friend!!!
Wow, thanks!
Saw these guys in late 2008 and was fortunate enough to meet them all. SUPER nice guys. Very friendly and polite. James actually walked up to ME and initiated a conversation (due to my Trust Co shirt). Literally the nicest band I've ever met. and I've met a good amount.
I was excited when they were announced for Blue Ridge. They were one of my favorite bands during my teen years.
I love when one of these videos pops up and gives me one of those, oh yeah, that band! Then I go back and listen, and there's a flood of memories. This band had some great tracks, and they hold up.
Anyone ever heard of the motocross video game called MX UNLEASHED? Downfall was the opening song for the intro and as a soundtrack for the game
One of the few Bands i keep the CDs from.
Awesome band, gives me childhood memories every time.
Thank you for covering this band! They were awesome but grossly overlooked!
The drummer was rock solid. I don’t think there are any skips on their records for me, and Take It All is one of my favorite songs of all time.
Oh man. I loved this band. Thanks for this upload
Saw these guys open for Korn and Disturbed in 2002. Shortly after that they just poof, disappeared from any spotlight. Always wondered what happened to them. Thank you!
Great video! I was fortunate enough to be close with these guys during their time in Florida. I first saw/met them as 41 Down when they were playing small clubs in Orlando. Watching and being a part of them getting bigger was exciting. The last time I was around them was when they were on tour with Korn around 02/03 (?). Great times!!
TRUST COMPANY is reuniting at the Blue Ridge Rock festival this September.
Downfall was on constant repeat from 6th grade to sophomore year of high school for me. A slice of killer alternative metal.
Still have their first two albums on CD. Good band. Solid songs.
I'm so glad I got to see them live soon after Dreaming In Black and White came out. So glad to hear both their new stuff and their classic stuff in their set!
I love them! Still listen to them to this day.
I discovered this band when they opened up for Korn back in 2002. I love them right away! Favorites are "Running from Me" "Someone Like You" "The Reflection" and "The War is Over." I still listen to them to this day.
Still one of my favorite bands and their songs are in regular rotation in my car.
Glad to see a video on this. This is a underrated band. I really enjoyed listening to their music back in the 00's. I do hope to hear more from them.
@MichaelMoxley-jk8wh Cool. 👍
@MichaelMoxley-jk8wh ok 👍
Got to meet them as 41 down doing lights for a local show in Pasadena, TX. I was very impressed with the professionalism and music.
Love this band! Their melodies are so unique imo. They’re back now and I hope they do a tour and album, which I think is what they’re planning:)
I fucking loved this band...1st album, incredible...2nd album, also incredible....3rd, also incredible.. ive spent alot of time listening to their music.
Ok I think this is the first time this has happened to me in the history of my life. This is the first RNR video that I’ve seen that you show your face and you look EXACTLY the way I always imagined. Amazing.
I first learned about and saw Trust Company when they opened for Korn back in the early 2000's in Wichita KS. I was really impressed with them, although I and most people were there to see Korn. I did make note of them and bought their CD the following week and loved the whole CD. They have a unique style. I always wondered what happened to them. Thanks for the video explaining about them.
Only knowing Downfall, when my buddy raved about this band I shrugged them off. I gave in and listened to the first album and I’ve been a fan ever since! Great vocal work on so many of these tunes!
Trust Company such an amazing band. They don’t get enough love. Downfall was my walk out song for wrestling my senior year. One of my favorite bands
The lonely position of neutral is amazing
The Alabama band that sounded like a California band.
I have those first two albums and enjoy them a great deal. They had a nice sound, without all the screaming associated with much of their contemporaries. You don't need long hair or a marketable image to make good rock music, and these guys proved that.
I felt like I was on a musical deserted island with this band. So glad to see them getting some love and glad to see all of you lol.
So awesome. I’ve always wondered what happened. Thanks for the video.
They used to come through this club I worked in between 08-09, always killed it. Nice guys
Thanks for the info on these guys. "Downfall" happens to be the only TRUSTcompany song I know.
Their back again all original members!
The Lonely Position OF Neutral was the greatest Nu Metal record of all time. I said what I said ..
*It’s definitely up there…* 💯
top ten for sure
i remember getting their cd for my bday one year. i was so stoked
*TRUSTCompany* 💯
Still listen to the debut album minimum 1 time in a month,..i love figure 8
Figure 8 is still one of there best songs
Album is still in my daily rotation. Its so good.
Always loved the fact wwe vengeance 2002 had this as their theme. Best one ever
Trust company is SOO good. They r one of my dad’s favorite bands of all time and became a family favorite. The lonely post it’s on of neutral is literally GOLD. Every freaking song. I literally saw they r playing at Inkcarceration this year and I about freaked! I wanna see them sooo bad. Almost saw them for $13 back with my dad and sister in mid 2000s but fell through unfortunately, Still waiting for a new album cause I know will be gold.
Downfall was the theme for WWE Vengeance 2002
I was 11 when I discover this band. WWE had just released their PPV theme song for survivor series 2008 and it was Trust Company - Falling Apart. I fell in love with the song and continue to listen to their other music and became a huge fan. Still to this day I listen to all three of their albums on Apple Music
I was hoping to hear about the connection with Flyleaf. The first lines of 'Fully Alive' are about Kevin's wife, Layla Palmer after a horrific traffic collision'. "Telling Laylas story spoken / about how all her bones are broken"
There's a story behind how Lacey Sturm (nee Mosley) knew Layla and why this event moved her so much. I'd like to hear about that.
I believe it's time... to reconsider that statement!!!
Would love a vinyl press of “Lonely Position…”
Downfall is still on my gym track list ever since it came out when I was in the military 😎🤘🏾
Started listening to this band when I was 12. Saw Downfall on MTV.
I never stopped listening to them. I am now 34.
Hung with these guys after a show in seattle at the EMP. Cool guys
Falling apart is my favorite song from these guys
I still listen to trust company. So glad I saw this video.
Hover was my favorite song on that album and now it makes sense why.
Never heard of this band, I'll check them out. Thanks
Miss this band
They would benefit from a reunion tour (again) big time
Wide open at the dunes catching huge air cranked up loud
Great first album. Loved the guitars on that album
Thanks for the reminder. I forget what song from their first two albums I really liked. I'll have to do my own investigating. It sure wasn't from their 3rd album; that's the only one in my library.
Love them!!!
Love trust company. My brother and I made a point to see them almost every time they came to our town. Good memories with my brother. Got kicked out a few times for moshing too hard in a no moshing bar but it was worth it.
Deftones and Helmet awesome influences.
*Don’t forget Pantera and Smashing Pumpkins.* 💯
I live on the Gulf Coast, and I definitely remember the huge buzz 41 Down had as a regional act before they became TRUSTcompany. It was pretty exciting to see a band from this area get signed to a major label and have a hit song.
They had some really great grooves and riffs. Saw em live in Baton Rouge once and they were good. I remember the band that opened for TrustCo was from New York called Stage and the singer sounded just like Cornell.
Nobody sounds just like Cornell
I want it. It’s right there! I feel it. So close yet so far away.
Big ups TC
