I served in the Marines with a shot ton of Puerto Ricans. If Trump withdraws aid from Puerto Rico he will be telling part of his own military that what they are fighting for isn't important to their Commander and Chief or America in general.
Trump already did that multiple times.
The military vote is a classic example of 'treasure spent on the relevant is treasure wasted'. The military community overwhelmingly and loyally votes republican, so it does not matter what the GoP or Trump does to the military or large demographics within it. Politically, loyalty like that is always punished.
I am glad you are upset about this, but remember Puerto Ricans are Americans and get even more pissed off.

I have friends in the special Olympics and I remember talking to them about what they love about participating. The one thing that stuck with me in that conversation was that they felt so accomplished and loved that they could be cheered on by a crowd for being able to win a gold metal and feel like an achiever. It truly is a heartbreaking thing for my friends who are grown up, but just imagining all the kids who won't be able to participate either is gut-wrenching. I have never felt so sickened by those in charge of the system we live in and are directly or indirectly effected by. This needs to change and we can make that happen if we use our power to vote. Remember bug's Life! Be the ant against the grasshoppers, they can't hold all of us under thumb and keep us complicit.
When I was a kid I used to participate in Special Olympics there's nothing like it I didn't really care about the metal,for me it was about the people cheering me on and feeling normal whatever that means The Pride I would get after crossing the finish line for me was greater than any trophy I could receive and see my friends there beside me was amazing if they take this away they'll be denying kids like me these feelings of accomplishments

People call it the special Olympics but I worked on a special Olympics as a helper and theirs nothing “special” about it. Their was a kid who threw a disc like 15ft while he was sitting. I was shocked that they called these special Olympics, those kids are better then the Olympics.

I've volunteered as event assistance in the Special Olympics (meaning I helped set up/take down events, measure jumps, etc). Taking their funding is so evil I have no idea where to even start. Those people are some of the kindest and most respectful people I've ever met. They look at the Special Olympics with pride and don't care whether they win or lose. Many of them say that it makes them feel like they're normal, even for only a day. Hell, a fair number of them are more physically fit than many regular people.
That woman is a disgusting human being.
