- Cork is the second largest city in the Republic of Ireland after Dublin and is located in the south of the country. The city has a good vibe with many pubs, galleries and museums. Cork is also called the foodie capital of Ireland with a great restaurant scene.
We start our tour at the St Patrick's Street and check out the city centre. At the Saint Peter and Paul's church we have a peek inside.
Next we head South of the city into the more residential area around Douglas Street. On the way we pass the Red Abbey Tower from the 14th century. On Douglas Street is a little festival. We walk a bigger round to see some non touristic part of Cork before we had to the Elizabeth Fort.
The Elizabeth Fort from the 17th-century was built on high ground outside the original city walls. By now the city has grown around the fort. We still have a nice view at Cork from the for walls.
Heading back into the city we pass Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral and make it to Washington Street. In the area around Tobin street are plenty restaurants and pubs, as well as some nightclubs that are busy during the weekend.
We see more of the city centre, see Lapp's Quay at the River Lee and even pass by the Cork bus station - all on our way back to the starting point right at St Patrick's Street.

I lived in Cork for about a year to study English and I really wanted to stay longer, but I had to come back to my home country cos of this weird situation. I miss this beautiful city so much and this video reminds me of those beautiful days in Cork! I really appreciate it :) Hope I can get back there soon
The Scam-demic?
@@bizzjoe.yes ,it's going to bring all the businesses to its knees.
What a shame, by the way, do you recommend cork to go to study English for a year?
Me too! Same situation
Hello @Kinparis, can you recommend affordable and good student accommodation in Cork, please? I'm moving there in two weeks time to study at Griffith College, Cork campus

Cork is a beautiful City, steeped in history and furnished with wonderful architecture and is a really clean City. I love visiting as the Cork People are warm and very welcoming People with a great sense of light Hearted humor and Craic. My one wish is it doesnât grow too large as Cork is perfect.

I live quiet near Cork City. My most favourite and beautiful place on earth, đđ
@Shauna K Everywhere has it's "truth" but that doesn't take away from the individual vibe and cultural history of a place. Every community has issues and problems of some kind. No matter how pretty or nice a place is.
Cork city and county, simply the best...
God's piece of heaven here on erith. ....o' how I miss my home town. ...but will return very soon. .love to everyone back home

Even if I left Ireland a long time ago, my soul often wanders through the streets of Cork City.
I was feeling extremely homesick for Cork and then I came across your video. Thank you so much for making this tour and sharing it with the world. I can now revisit the place I love in your footsteps until I am able to return and listen to the bells in the Parish for myself. I cannot wait to return!
I fell in love with Cork the first time I visited. I actually love Ireland. Wanna go back there to do the Ring of Kerry once this pandemic is over.
I really enjoyed watching your video, it was almost like i was walking the same streets again from 2yrs ago. Thanks for posting .
Ireland is one of those places where you go, and somehow your heart stays in there.
Oh Cork city, I miss you so :( But I shall see you again, some day!

Almost insulted that you came to my hometown end i couldn't give you a tour đ hope you had fun! đ
Awesome! đI had a great time in Cork again, also meeting up with an old friend from earlier travels there! During my first visit to Cork around 10 years ago I did a few more touristy things like Blarney Castle etc... I hope to return to Ireland sometime soon
thanks for walking fast at times and always keeping up the pace. you're very intuitive.
Love this. Thanks a million for filming Rory Gallagher's memorial. It's the best reason I can find to visit Cork as many times as possible, just to get to step on the places he'd been or related to his stories.
Amazing really, the first time I heard about Cork was in 1981. I learned about the city during a conversation with Rory Gallagher. He told me he was from there... From that moment onwards I fell in love. Both Rory and his brother, Donal were passionate about Cork. At the time, soon after the last concert tour date, they told me they were heading home for Christmas.
I'm from Cork but I didn't appreciate just how beautiful it is! Great to look at it from another's perspective!
Hi! glad to come across this channel and see this video! Thanks for sharing!
I don't know how much I could truly thank you for doing this but I do so much thank you for as much as I can thank you for helping me to cope with home sickness

48:14 That cathedral (the cathedral itself not the structure. It was originally wooden)
has existed since the 6th/7th century. I believe its was the very first building of the city

Fell in love here when I was on an internship. Three years later I got married and got two boys we gave them Irish names, Quinn and Kian (They wrote his name different there but we don't want him to spell his name all the time in the Netherlands this isn't a populair name). Brings back many memories hope we can come back soon. Thanks for making this. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Lovely, really lovely! nothing changed. I'm proud to be part of this culture!
Thanks for sharing the views of Cork. I was born in Kinsale, County Cork, but have never been back. Loved my parent's accent.
Great job boi!! Left there over 40 years ago for Redlands, Calironia, and this brought a wave of nostalgia over me.........Hoping I'd catch a glance of someone I knew!!!......Now it's time for a visit!! Thanks!!!
I'm truly gobsmacked, as i always thought Cork was a tiny country village, now ashamed I never took the time to visit, especially when I was in Dublin. Chuffed its a thriving town.
Well it is like "village" in a way.. you can approach anyone to chat and everyone is very helpful if you need anything...
Thanks for taking the time to make this video and post it on CZcams, you don`t know what it means to me.
Cool walking tour! Cheers!
That's a very nice tour video, especially with the timestamps.
Sadly, beautiful days like this are getting less frequent here as we approach winter.
Thank you for your kindness . i m Scottish my comes from cork so that make me half Irish . love to you all. Even I was born in Scotland I still think myself as Irish.
Thank you for your kindness . I'm Scottish but my mum was born in cork so that makes me half Irish. Love to you all. Even I was born in Scotland I still think myself as Irish.
Cork certainly is a picturesque city, I would love to visit there one day at some point as well.
You missed that misterious figure sitting near St. Fin Barre's Cathedral))) very misterious and a little bit scary. Love Cork! Thanks for video walking đ
I sure hope to return to Cork to show more of the Northside. I'll see if I find that figure near the Cathedral next time. Thanks for watching!

A city with art, beer, and delicious food!đ Even the narrow alleys of the Nightlife district are awesome!đ But the prices are going to be amazing, right?đ
Ireland is relatively expensive yet Cork is more affordable than Dublin. As it's a small country you'd spend also less time there and it's worth seeing, especially when you like the color green and pubs. It was my 2nd visit for around 10 days and I loved it again
It is very good video.
Thanks
looks like its become more modernised. That's fine as long as the beautiful building are kept up so they continue to stand for another 300yrs or more will be awesome. No matter how modern a city gets, don't ever let any people try to erase the beauty an heritage of a city. No matter what part of the world the cities in. Especially in places that has thousands or hundreds of years of history such as Ireland
Good video, thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing!đ
Love these videos..I'd love to visit Ireland. Most of my ancesters were from there.

I'm surprised it's so big and modern. I was expecting somewhere like York in England.
Can't believe I watched the whole thing to see if I'd be in there somewhere... And I didn't even find myself đ
lovely
NICE VIEW~~~!!!
Hi there. It's a good video just like your other ones. What do you use for your Video recording GoPro Hero....? Thank you
The street lights are cool.
thank you so much
beautifull city !!!!
Hi, nice vid đ What computer & programe do you use to upload the footage? Itâs really clear đđđđ
Thanks! The camera is a DJI Osmo Pocket. I use the video straight out of camera. The 4GB chunks are merged with QuickTime on a 2013 MacBook Pro. There is no editing other than some FFMPEG and shell scripting to include an intro for the first 6 seconds and no recompression. The Mac is slow yet Intel QuickSync gets the job done. The export is around 38 Mbit/sec (Osmo Pocket records in 100Mbit / sec) which then gets uploaded to CZcams normally. Audio is a Zoom H1 and I process the audio for loudness mostly
POPtravel cool, thanks đđ
