As an Irishman I always tell anyone visiting Ireland to head to Cork. Between itself and Kerry you get a great piece of what Irelands about. Also they're sounder than Dublin people :P ....great vid lads!!

Dublin is an international corporate "anyplace" city these days, with a few remaining Irish trimmings. Cork is still only part way there.

Wonderful video. Very well done. And you covered nearly all of Cork City's highlights that I also enjoyed so much last summer. I also put in a word for the Cork City Gaol, the Old Waterworks, and Fitzgerald Park with the Cork City Museum. Finally, the Cork Ghost Tour is hilarious! Highly recommended. Thank you so much for bringing back amazing memories.

I was in Cork City the during first week of October and visited many of the same places. I also had dinner at Gallaghers Pub and found great bartenders and not so great food. I've watched a lot of Cork videos and enjoyed this one the most. Well Done!

My grandfather, an O’Sullivan, left Cork in 1920 fleeing from the British over some activities. My grandmother from Donegal met him while retrieving her brother’s body, never met his family since they met in Canada. They married & had children & died shortly. My grandmother raised me & had me sent to Donegal with family for a short period, but never been to Cork. I always wondered if there was Viking because he was so tall & ruddy complected compared to my other shorter dark haired Donegal grandparents. Plus I have 2% Norwegian in my Irish bloodline. I guess there is nearly more full blooded Irish living in America now than in Cork by what the video said.

Fr Theobald Mathews grave lies alongside my mothers grave in st Joseph’s cemetery in Cork City, greetings from Cork🇮🇪☘️. I wonder do you know that the longest and shortest funeral recorded were at Curraghkippane grave yard just outside the city, the shortest was the caretaker who lived in the cottage in the graveyard, the longest was a sailor who died aboard a ship off the coast of South America and had to sail west to fulfill cargo commitments 👍

I was born here in 1971. In 2022 Cork is no longer Cork due to mass immigration. Our culture has been damaged due to open borders. Prior to 2000 it was a great place to have some craic. All changed and not for the better. Sad.

      Shut up Tom ya langer.
If it wasn't for the immigrants all the towns from Youghal to Castletownbere would be ghost towns. And it's not a new thing either Cork has welcomed people from all over the planet for centuries.

I was probably 54 / 55 the first time I went in there (for a Christmas concert) and have been there a couple of times since. Every time I've been there I've met locals who are having their first visit there !! It's well worth a look - very interesting building. It appears much more 'barren' and not as decorative as local Catholic churches but has its' own unique charm about it.
