Yes. I feel the same. She enjoys singing and is impressive on stage. What a voice!! So beautiful and so powerful at the same time!! I've known Lara for years, and the first song I heard was in Spanish (I'm from Spain), and I said to myself ... what ?? Who is she? She sang so well in Spanish that I thought she was from any country in South America. And I looked her up on the internet and read her story. Personne n a remarqué qu'à 2.55 elle commence avoir des problèmes de prompteur, confirmer à 4.01 le signe de tête rien ne va plus et son regard un peu perdu , c'est pour ça qu elle se retourne plusieurs fois vers Igor ,qu il l aide en chantant .Heureusement qu elle connait les paroles, le prompteur était plus là pour la rassurée.Très difficile de ne pas sombré. Chapeau bas.................. Lara does speak a few words of Russian, but not that much. If I recall correctly, she learned singing this song phonetically. So she knows how to pronounce the words, but sometimes has no idea what they mean. 😂 Obviously Igor must have translated for Lara so she does know what the song is about I would assume.
You see Lara look down to her left once in a while. Her language prompts are there her help.
I wouldn't expect anything less from a singer of such high level as Lara to at least know the meaning of every word she sings. I also don't think she can speak or understand Russian, but then being able to sing words so understandable is no less impressive to me. So much respect.
DrammaBear Pardon my English. Not my first language. You are correct, I assume Lara would indeed know the meaning and context of the song. What I implied is that she might not be able to use those words in a daily conversation.
