    I love the headphones. I’ve been using them for over a year and totally agree with your review. I can hear cars when I’m running through the city and my music at the same time. I feel totally safe wearing them. The sound quality for me is fine for running but I only use them for exercise and not when I’m at home, as the vibrations can Irritate me.

    • @HarryRunsUK
      @HarryRunsUK  Před 5 lety

      Yeah I agree, I use them for running and cycling and enjoy the experience. But at home I’ll use others so that I can shut the world out when I’m working and stay concentrated haha.

    Thank you for the video in the first place. As yourself, I’ve had my fair schare of disappointment with previous headphones. Saw these the other day and got me curious. Seems You’re pointing out the advantages/features I’m looking for. Thank you again for the review! Kind regards, Tom

    Just ordered these. I go free climbing or hiking 3-4 times a week and have been lugging my bluetooth speaker around in my backpack for music since wearing heaphones takes away from nature sounds and is a safety problem. Can't wait to experience bone conduction!

    Great product. I love mine too! Totally agree with everything you say. Every other pair of traditional headphones I’ve ever tried always fall out, especially when they get sweaty. These stay in place because they don’t go in the ear, don’t shut you off from the world and the sound is really good!

    I’ve had a pair of the older version for over a year now and they are superb. I couldn’t go back to conventional headphones now for all the reasons you pointed out. I’d highly recommend them to anyone. I find the battery life impressive as well. I’d say I get at least 10 hours usage between charges. I think the shapes around the ear on the ones you have looks better than mine as I need to tie my hair in a pony tail and rest the back on it to stop then sliding down, but it’s not a big issue bearing in mind the advantages. The sound quality is excellent compare to all my previous sports headphones.

    Thanks for this recommendation for the headphones. Its my first time hearing about bone conducting headphones. I was wondering if you experience any kind of fatigue/irritation after listening thru them for long hours?

    • @HarryRunsUK
      @HarryRunsUK  Před 5 lety +2

      I have no issue personally when using these for extended periods on long runs, but just like any headphones I'm conscious not ramp up the volume to a very high level. I imagine if you were listening with them on full blast then it could cause irritation and important to keep in mind you will have noise from traffic etc too coming in the ear as intended in the design. For me they are about a good compromise to listening to music but being aware of what's around whilst not shutting the world out around me as with a traditional headphone.

  • @RunningGod11
    @RunningGod11 Před 5 lety

    Kind of a late reply but I highly recommend the Jaybird Tarah Pro's as well. Wireless headphones built for endurance athletes, can't go wrong with the 14 hour battery life.

    • @itsSmiv
      @itsSmiv Před 5 lety

    i tried these and sadly, they drove me around the bend, constantly trying to slip off my head once I got warm or sweaty - i needed a cap to hold them on. I found the sound poor and anyone next to you can hear what you're listening to. I suspect they work for some people but not at all for others which was a shame. Have continued to stick with my Bose sport models for now, or anything that has Comply foam earbuds.

      There are so many great models out there at the moment. It all depends on what you need it for and how much battery life you need. I’m using the Suunto Spartan Ultra at the moment and enjoying that.

      @HarryRunsUK  Před 5 lety +1

      I don't particularly have a preference between the two, Suunto's are generally a little lighter though, the Fenix 5 is a great watch though, heavier than the Suuntos , but of course it could be argued that this makes it a more versatile watch.

    • @JustinDoesTriathlon
      @JustinDoesTriathlon Před 5 lety +3

      Small world, I'm literally posting my review of these in just a week or so. I have... mixed feelings on the sound quality. Objectively, compared to my 'good' headphones (Senn 598s) and good speakers (Elac B6s,) they are not good headphones for actually listening to music. The bass response is particularly weak (and this is coming from someone who wants accurate bass, not OMG BASS.) Songs with pounding basslines will simply barely have them. These are not headphones you buy for listening to music at home. Now that said... Overall, I absolutely love these. My Jaybirds *sound better,* but I also have to jam them back in my ear every 10 minutes or so. Insanely annoying to me. The Aftershokz will never come off or do anything other than give you music. When I'm deep on a run, I care less about objective SQ and just want music in my brain, and these are perfect for me.
      Battery life has easily been 6-8hrs for me.

    • @HarryRunsUK
      @HarryRunsUK  Před 5 lety +2

      For sure great points Justin. These are great for running, having a backing track whilst staying aware of what's going on around you. That's 100% what I enjoy in these headphones. If you are after shutting out everything around you when working or just listening to music purely at home etc then there are headphones better suited for it.

      @Slade366 Před 5 lety +1

      @@ishu3285 There's probably some very detailed programs, but the easiest thing for me was to run easy miles as often as I could and run some 400 meter repeats once per week, and a 3-5 mile hard run once for week. 80% of your running should be quite easy (8-9+ minute pace) and you should aim to increase your mileage as much as possible. 40+ per week, eventually up to 80+ if you want to maximize your potential. I have hardly any talent but after running around 45 miles a week for a few months you should be able to run a sub 5 mile.

      @HarryRunsUK  Před 5 lety +2

      Yeah I agree and for sure I’m not listening to music the whole time I’m out there. But that’s very much the reason I enjoy these as the music is more of a backing track to the nature sounds, footfall and environment around me, or a podcast good company during a 5 hour training mission in the mountain when things can get tough on your own.
