Wasnt the greatest last performance for the entire team for the most part...including coaching staff...yet it would be incredibly disrespectful to all that Ayo did prove and accomplish to just remember him for the last game he played.
His season stat line speaks for itself...ridiculous numbers on a team that had plenty of other mouths to feed..oh and he helped greatly in feeding those other talents...thus in three years illinois was able to build itself from losing record to the point of disappointment of being a 1 seed and losing the way they did to loyola...but it’s also a disappointment Loyola got seeded 8...you gonna go on every other big ten player tribute video and say “got killed by so and so tho...” ? cuz everyone has bad games. The loyola game is what it is, but Ayo coming into essentially a losing program and saying greatness was on the way and produced it...that’s worth remembering. Illini.
