The rumour is that in our next UCL game we'll be without Dybala, Chiellini, Bonucci, Sandro and Cuadrado. If this is true then there's no reason not to give De Ligt the captain's armband for this game.
Anyone doubting his mentality should look up his last speech for Ajax. He was only 19 and captained the best Ajax team in decades and held a speech that would put most veterans of the game to shame. He was born to be the captain of any team he's in and I hope that will be Juve for years to come.

seems like the player with most appearances is the captain in such instances, which sadly means either Cuadrado or Sandro will get the armband. De Ligt addressed that, and said he needs to play more games in order to get the armband, which hopefully means he plans on staying. And even without the armband, it's clear to all of them who's the biggest leader on the pitch, he's up there with Leo and Giorgio.
@@aniiimmense True and for me that's not good. I get that Cuadrado and Sandro have more appearances and they should be respected for it but they are not leaders on the pitch. De Ligt apsolutely is. I love the system Man City has. They determine their captain via player votes which is why Ruben Dias is 2nd in line for captaincy despite him being at the club for just one full season. So basically the team chooses their own captain which is the apsolute fairest and smartest way to do it.
I felt the same way about Ronaldo. After his first season he should have been in line for captaincy when Chiellini, Bonucci and Dybala were out.

Great young man, I wish there was more young players like this whilst Mason Greenwood and others are vial humans we have here a young man who was leading the biggest city in the Netherlands in pride on the football pitch and motivating them off the football pitch at the age of 16, who I’m sure his Fiance is immensely proud of who he is.
