Legion... sure you took some advice and i could see from your face that you really enjoyed this. For me, as a European, this can almost make me cry. 40+ countries, we all speak different languages, have different values, but for one night of the year we all sit down and watch exactly the same thing on TV and react in exactly the same way at the same time. Gosh! That's special. For me, this is what this contest/show is all about, it's so unifying, so embracing. It's a lesson to the world.

A really, truly, unified Europe - all of us doing exactly the same thing at exactly the same time. I'm from the UK but in my heart I'm from Europe. I travelled a lot with work, lived in many countries, but wherever I was me being European was more important to me, and to other people, than being from a single country. Yes, i have cried watching this video - and I will do again.
I still love this „flash mob“ video especially because this was my first Eurovision Song Contest, wich i have back then finally started to recognized as something special, instead of just ignoring it every year land never being curious about it Usually at least once a year (mostly at the post-ESC-Depression phase) i come back to this video to watch this highlight again It was remarkable back the and is still today especially knowing because of 2020 how difficult group zoom calls via webcam and computer actually are to manage
I don't remember a lot from when we (Norway) hosted but this interval with Madcon (The Norwegian duo singing "Glow". Their cover of "Begging" is brilliant by the way) was one of the things I still remember ❤ I'll admit it's strange watching it back, seeing everyone dancing so close but it still gives me absolute joy watching it ❤

I was actually participating in the flashmop...not on camera, but in front of the TV. It was a very unifying experience.
