Got my first Switch this Christmas and went for the OLED. It’s really a phenomenal piece of kit and as a regular PS5/Series X user I’m surprised how much I’m enjoying it. My only gripe is that the best of the best games seem to be a couple of years old. Not a big deal for me as I’m new to the Nintendo scene and enjoying the exclusives, but I hope more flagship titles are on the horizon.
I've had my switch oled for about half a year now. I bought almost a dozen games for it and each one ran smoothly. This is my first switch for me and it's definitely worth buying if you never had a Nintendo Switch.
Me 2nd I lost my v2 switch in late 2020 actually
Always look forward to each one of your uploads 😁
I love your Apple Watch, iPhone covers, and now Nintendo Switch contents. You are by far my favorite tech dude.
I upgraded to the OLED last year from the OG model and I never looked back…..I would recommend the upgrade if you play handheld mainly or do not own a switch but otherwise, it’s the person’s choice to consider upgrading.
'Hideous' is the perfect word to describe the no-LED Switch's bezels. Though I miss the uniqueness of the Mario no-LED Switch, boasting my favorite color at that, I didn't look back when I upgraded to the OLED Switch. I'd dare say that the no-LED Switch's bezels and air gap is way more obnoxious than its display. IPS isn't even that bad, comparatively anyway.
We bought our oled switch this past summer I use it the most I never tried the other models I wanted a bigger screen I was told this was the better pick so that what we got
I just got a Nintendo switch for Christmas this year it’s a very first model from 2017 I am so excited to play it going out tomorrow to get some games for it
Best Nintendo Switch Review I’ve Seen Out Of Many👌
Ive waited until recently to get the Switch. Mind you I got a switch lite but the screen size is just a little small for me. Im an older gamer. The size difference doesnt seam to be such a big deal to people. Since im near sighted and far sighted the OLED screens size helps but its the quality OLED screen produces that really helps. If youre younger with good eyes you dont need to get the OLED version.
Oled version comes with better kickstand and screen
Love the video! Has anyone ever told you that you sound like BBALLBREAKDOWN? Hahaha
The difference are pretty minimal. Unless you are a stickler for the best optimal portable experience (I was not impressed really). When you consider the actual price difference between the two (at target there was a $120 difference) and zero actual improvements that make an impact on performance, its honestly hard to say get the OLED at the current price.
I'm holding out my purchase when the BOTW sequel comes out. They might release a special edition switch and that's what I'm aiming for.
Well aren’t you a psychic
Why did you reduce the bezels of the switch on the thumbnail?
Im getting the nintendo switch oled in a week or two. I cant wait.
Why not Christmas?
@@Gunnr7 it was ordered 20th of December.
How is it bro? Thank have a Switch Lite but I want to get the OLED model.
Can you twitch stream on the oled switch?
Care to share your Nintendo friend code for some community kart racing? 😀
Well, I pulled the trigger on March 14 and soled my animal crossing, but I didn't get the white one. I got the splatoons 3 oled switch that looks so dam amazing I see it a super upgrade if you like oled displays
How come your quality is really good in pokemon? Is it because you have sd card?
Yes
I still have my original switch.. I think I will hold off on upgrading for now . Thanks again for a great video
bruh.
Well I use the straps for Mario Party
I once considered upgrading mine to OLED. There were some improvements making it a better quality, but I don’t think there’s enough differences and I think it might not be as popular as the original switch, so in the end I choose to not upgrade mine so that I don’t feel left out.
you thinking too much lol, if you can just do it, it's way better than the original with that crappy screen quality
@@Mirage-22 right
Well I sold my animal crossing switch and pulled the trigger I got the splatoons 3 OLED edition and I didn't look back and say I miss it I just looked forward and said what an upgrade as a big fan of splatoons I love it it was worth it for me
I Still Have The Original Switch & Plan On Keeping It Until The Next Generation Console.
That could take 15 plus years, there is talk of boosting the switch processor.
Just treated myself to the oled switch and 10 games for Christmas got a spaltoon 3 Pro controller also was bored with my ps5 and series x
I got my OLED as a birthday gift
Watching this video days after I already bought it for my girlfriend for a Christmas gift. I’m sure she’s gonna love it!
Honestly the only upgrade is the screen LITTLE bigger. That’s really it nothing else, I haven’t got one I’ll stay with my original till it’s breaks.
.it has more upgrades than just the screen
@@torisefford5671it really doesn't
It's only a $50(a game cost that much):upgrade and for that you get longer battery life, better kickstand, more storage, better screen, Ethernet capability,so it's way way better then the original Switch and Lite.
SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONEE
❤️ COZY
This is definitely better value if you're buying your 1st Switch like me!
Got mine the day it released, since then it has been collecting dust, I can't even remember the last time I charged it
Why did u stop using it
@@thatgamingmonke1381no games
Snoop Dog would be proud😂
Doom 2016 is amazing
If Nintendo was more like apple the Switch would have no charger but a very fast processor at twice the price. I don't know which I prefer right now. 🙂Apart from that, I like my Switch.
Can two people play with this product
Yes! But it depends on the game, for example, 2 people can play Mario Kart using a single console. Hope this helped!
Yes
Not even comparable to an “s upgrade” as with those, they still upgrade the internals. And just keep the same design. The OLED is the opposite. They tweaked the design. And kept the same internals.
In summary:
If you don't have a nintendo switch, get the OLED cause it's the best nintendo switch for only 50 dollars extra.
If you do have a nintendo switch, do not get the OLED cause there aren't enough features to pay in full for another nintendo switch, just wait for a next gen upgrade :)
Stingy? I think you meant to say "greedy".
Considering you can get next gen for $50 more or $50 less (series s) it's drastically outdated. Not that the mobility is anything to scoff at but things like the steam deck, which is only at a disadvantage on battery life, is drastically better. After six years using hardware that came out 7+ years ago the price point isnt making much sense aside from being able to play nintendo without emulation. They are heavily relying on their first party to carry them instead of innovating with hardware updates which will probably backfire once a large portion of the market shifts to a more up to date product. In order to keep people on their eco system they should be doing 5 year life cycles with backwards compatibility that way each system has essentially 10 years on the platform with overlap.
early
You should look into the steam deck
Tbf the steam deck may have more capability and power but i personally prefer the exclusive games on the switch, Ik you can get it on steam deck too with some emulators, but I like the idea of the switch. 😊
@@Gambit_Games14 got both, and imma say my switch has been neglected for a long time, even before I bought the deck, just holding on to it for Breathe of the Wild 2
@@Gambit_Games14 Spot on. Me too. The Switch OLED screen is also significantly better.
Can I play with someone else
yes
Yes but you have to make sure that the game that you are buying allows 2 players.
OK
That's because this is a temporary upgrade 🙄
I bought the switch oled to retire my old pokemon edition switch to find out that the fucking screen gives me headaches after 30min of gameplay...I know better ways to burn 350euros...
