Think of how far suppressor development would be if the NFA didn't exist... think of all the integrally suppressed hunting rifles we would have by now.
Probably not much improvement. Suppressors here in the UK and across a lot of Europe are largely either unregulated or never refused when applied for (also no extra charge for them). New designs are pretty much the same as they were 50 years ago. Even metal 3D printed ones aren't a great improvement. They've definitely got lighter and a bit smaller but there's only so much you can do.
@@PaperHunter - I understand they aren’t restricted there but your ability to own the firearm is… companies like to make profit if companies had unfettered access to the over 400 million guns in the US to sell suppressors for I think they would spend more money on R&D as there would be more money to be made but I may be wrong… how many guns are there in circulation in the UK? The quietness of the suppressor on the rifle was absolutely beautiful. The lever action of the rifle was literally louder than what the shot was. I am very impressed
Audio quality isn't good enough for me to tell the difference during the first test, they sounded the same. Definite difference between the full size can and the little can though.

I have the 22K and absolutely love it on my Beretta 21A. I usually keep some ceramic suppressor fluid in it and it is a perfect match up to the little pistol. I also have a couple of the full size Banish 22 suppressors for the larger 22LR pistols/rifles.
I recently got to bring home 2 Rugged Suppressors, a Alaskan 360, and the FDE version of the Oculus 22, it can handle up to 5.7x28! And can be used full size (10 baffle) or as a short (5 baffle) I tried it the first time last weekend on my Beretta 21 Covert FDE. I was really impressed.
If you want a small suppressor and then a bigger one you'll want to go with the Q suppressors. They're adjustable to each baffle, so you can pick the perfect length for each firearm you're using
Thanks for the video. I haven’t shot the 22K V2 but was given one in a promotion with Silencer Central. I’d probably buy the longer version but looking forward to using the 22K V2 (it was FREE).
Camera microphone and it's amp is doing level normalization so you do not hear difference as in real life. They have sort of compressor logic in it and tries to shave off the peaks. Plus CZcams compression on top of it. It is suppressor definitely. People very often think those units make it so silent that you can shoot few feet's away and no one will notice. That is is not the case with most of the suppressors. Got to love how long barrel makes it more effective. Great demonstration.
It might be your audio recording equipment but after the first round the non suppressed 502 sounded quieter but the suppressed one was essentially quiet up close but the echo off the hillside made it sound louder
Thanks for making the video. Man I would be so mad if I would have bought that little suppressor. Not to mention the 206 bucks in a stamp and almost a year wait. Maybe that's why they decided to run the bogo deal.
To my ears, the audio wasn't really good enough to tell the difference on pistol test 1, but the longer suppressor was much quieter on pistol test 2. I heard 22Plinkster saying repeatedly that it was hearing safe, but I don't think that I'd spend my money on the Banish 22K V2 for a pistol...Just get a full-size suppressor, or run unsuppressed. Going by the Henry rifle test audio, the Banish 22K V2 may be a decent option for a shorter-length suppressor with less weight on a rifle. It's so hard to tell what suppressors sound like from videos.
If I did use a suppressor, I would prefer the longer one. I agree with George below, in the initial comparison, the shorty-suppressed pistol sounded louder.
I’d be awfully disappointed to spend hundreds on a little suppressor and another $200 tax, then after nearly a year finally use it just to find out it’s as effective as a $40 flash can.
If you shoot anything above standard velocity with a suppressor in a 22 pistol, it can be quite loud. I would not say that suppressor is hearing safe on a pistol. Federal auto match is also crap in pistols. It jams in my m&p and mkiv. Works ok in my 10/22.
I have a tandem cross suppressor for my TX 22 and I shoot with it in and off I think I don’t shoot enough to know the difference between them. But I don’t shoot nearly as much as the plinkster so he is the one who would know!
I don't think Tandem Kross sells suppressors... They do, however, sell some worthless gimmick .22 muzzle brake/compensator B.S. that doesn't do anything.
Wonder how it would change the sound of a m&P 15-22? I'm loving this lil banish 😊, I normally run a 36gr high velocity for grouse, just wanting to get the primary Crack down enuf to here the lead hit the bird.
I hate to say it, but it's about volume... If you have a rifle with a long barrel, that gives more space for the gasses to expand and you don't need much can to silence it. A pistol? Good luck with any small can.
Why Was The Rifle So Much Quieter? I Thought The Longer Barrell Would Increase Villosity Making It Louder? Awesome Video! Now I'm Getting A Suppressor!
@@jacobdelgado7343 I built some awesome glocks and one great 1911. All with red dots, ported barrel, etc. But yeah, most of the cool stuff we can't have.

I have a use for it, so it's not that big of deal, but I wish they would have just offered half off a regular Banish 22 instead. I will say the thing weighs nothing, so there is that.
Haven't had a chance to test it yet. I don't have a bolt to try it on, but I'll give it a shot on the 10/22. I don't think there's enough volume to handle the 22 mag I was planning on using it on. I am hoping it will give enough added backpressure to help my p22 that doesn't like to cycle. @@gunjack661

A clip is a piece of metal, usually a strip or block, that holds several rounds together from at the base of the cartridges, aligned in one or two rows. Ammunition clips usually come from the factory with the ammo already affixed to the clip. The clip is inserted into a firearm or into a permanently affixed magazine that is inside the firearm, and after the rounds are shot, the clip is ejected or removed and usually discarded. Well known firearms that use clips are the M1903 Springfield and the M1 Garand. A magazine on the other hand, is a spring fed device that feeds rounds into the chamber of the firearm. It can either be permanently affixed inside the firearm (usually called an internal box magazine), or it can be detachable, which can be repeatedly inserted and removed. 22LR is close to hearing safe without a suppressor. This suppressor on camera still seems to be fairly loud unless you put it in a rifle and shoot the CCI standard velocity load. This suppressor just doesn't make any sense to me. A lightweight short suppressor on a 22 handgun that only makes it a little more quiet is a waste of money, "Hearing safe" on a short barrel 22LR is really not much of a gain.x Adding another 2''-3'' to a suppressor to make it more quiet is better for both rifles and pistols
I would love to own suppressors, but I refuse to go through the process and deal with the paperwork and stupid legality that go along with them. The NFA along with the ATF needs abolished, really most if not all 3 letter agencies need to go.
I felt the same way until the local gun shop got a suppressor kiosk. The owner stood right there and walked me through it all, including fingerprints and setting up a trust. I got a Dead Air Mask 22 HD. That thing is awesome. I agree that dealing with the legality, tax stamp, is BS, but in the end I now have what I really wanted.
