  • This is the story of a little baby crow that was found in early June of 2018 in a back alley with several dead birds around. We could not just ignore this tragedy and leave the little bird there to die like the others.

    I had a similar situation when I was younger. I found a young crow like this about the same age, and raced it until it could fly. Once I released it, it would follow me around wherever I went when I was outside. This used to freak out my friends and family, but I loved it and I had a new friend.

    I was a very young boy when my father was raising a baby pet crow. It was a wonderful pet. He named it Eighty proof. I was sad when it grew strong enough to leave, but I thanked it for it’s amusement and company. I said goodbye, and wished it well. I think he hung around, on and off for several years. It was always fun when he came by with his friends and family.

      @burningcheerios3119 Před 3 lety +42

      It's very dependent on the animals, for examples orcas and other dolphins are miserable in captivity. The only recorded instances of orcas attacking people are orcas in captivity because the go crazy under those conditions. Intelligent animals all require recreation of some sort and many need social interaction and in some cases we can't properly provide that in captivity. Ravens and crows do well provided the have a good amount of room and friendly interactions though.

After some time they learned how to fly very well and one of them left. The other one didn’t leave until two weeks later and it was always fun to be casually standing in the backyard and to have a bird fly full speed at you and land on your shoulder demanding food.

    That's a lot of dead birds. So sad! Bless you for helping the surviving baby in need.

    It always impresses me that people are willing to put in the MASSIVE AMOUNT OF TIME AND ENERGY that is needed (feeding every 30min like WHAT! Insane) into an orphaned baby not knowing how it will work. But your reward though is to be blessed with little crow in your life and that incredible bond you have earned. So impressed and inspired by the way u treat your birds as proper pets and not just something in a cage. Taking them on holidays, to the beach, just LOVE ! To have a pet crow come to the beach with me sound like heaven literally! Oh and u should start teaching tricks and doing brain teasers/puzzles with her as they are incredibly smart with the most insane memories and problem solving abilities, which mean they can get bored easily and needs challenges. U guys r too awesome btw 😀

    Imagine being able to tell people that you have a pet crow. Just saying "Yeah I have a pet crow" and they'd probably think you're lying but once you show them you immediately become the coolest person on earth and everyone knows that
