I'm Danish, never grew up with rugby as part of our culture, but I just love seeing these two anthems. I think it even sparked an interest in rugby years back. Amazing sport, amazing fans and these anthems are among the best! Much love to the Boks and the All Blacks from Denmark!

If you are honest with yourself the reason the volume rises has nothing to do with 11 languages but more to the profile of the fans watching. Good anthem though and the decision to include bits of each other's anthem from the past is great.

I’m English and I’ve been to Twickenham loads of times but it pales into insignificance when compared with the atmosphere at Ellis Park. I went to the 3rd Lions test in 09, it was by far the loudest rugby ground I’ve ever been in. It’s the spiritual home of the Springboks for a reason. I remember watching this game on TV as well, best rugby match I’ve ever seen. Boks v ABs at Ellis Park, there’s no better occasion in world rugby.
Well, Rugby was more of a white man's game. Die Stem was the national anthem during Apartheid and as such, the anthem of the white population, especially the Afrikaners.
