Dallas Trail Hike June 24, 2024

The lady and I took a mountain hike to escape the heat. It was even quite warm up there. We only did around 4.5 miles as the clouds were building and we had taken our time savoring every minute. Too many people are in such a hurry hiking - I was like that once too. Slow down and enjoy it all...listen to the birds, the tiny streams, the rivers, the bees on the flowers. Unfortunately, on this day it seemed every jet in the country went over us. It was hard to find a few seconds to video without jet noise. Add to that a helicopter buzzing all day long down on the Double RL Ranch and the noise pollution was almost too much. They call it progress....huh, I don't think so.
But, we still managed to really enjoy ourselves and are blessed to be able to get out there into God's great outdoors!
