  • Hope you all enjoy. I'm very sorry for not uploading yesterday, I've been really overwhelmed and could only get half of this video done.

By the way, just wanted to add a little side note down here. My opinion in this video on Armada Megatron was based on my memories of the show from childhood, and since I was inspired after making this I went and got my hands on the Armada series to rewatch it. So far? Not impressed by him. I'm on the episode where Blurr is introduced and, as of right now I actually find him more annoying than I remember with his whole "THE STAR SABER IS MINE" shtick. I'll keep you all updated as I watch the series in case my opinion changes. Maybe Prime is better than Armada after all. I still love Scavenger though, very fun character.

Ok, now that I've finished rewatching all of Armada, wow... my memory was very wrong, or rather it left out a lot. I still adore Armada, and I still think it's one of the top three TF series' but I have a different view of Megatron specifically in this series. He's a very one dimensional typically evil and abusive father figure until the VERY END where we get that scene with Optimus I showed in this video, and then something I never expected happens. Megatron allows himself to die because he understands with his death, there will no longer be enough hate alive to fuel Unicron. That single moment along with his mourning of Starscream made for a BEAUTIFUL turn around of an otherwise awful character. I think if the scripts had been better translated from Japanese, he would have been a mind blowing character.

I love it when talented writters get their hands on one-dimensional characters and make them compelling. Some of the best fiction comes from that process.
