I connect mine and had no lights. I switched the G and C wires and got the screen to illuminate but once I tried to set the time it went off. Is this a wiring problem or a thermostat problem? THX

Sounds like a wiring problem. If the screen turned on but went off when you touched it, the check for loose connections on the wires. Also make sure the thermostat is pushed all the way onto the mounting bracket

I have this exact thermostat. I have a 2 story home with two outside units. I do have a heat pump. But for some reason, the temp will be like 82 indoors. I set it to like 76 maybe lower. Come back in 3hrs and it has only decreased by one degree. Or sometimes have increased. I also have a non wifi thermostat downstairs and, the same thing. I go to the vents downstairs and it feels slightly cool but not really like it use to. I do live in az and its been record heat. Ive checked for clogs. Ive even gone to the units outdoor, and the tubes with freon in them are cold.
Man wassup. My electric carrier handler, is in the upstairs attic.

Maybe the thermostat is bad or your system needs a tune up
