Some of the lost tribes of Israel are in the North East region of India today. A region that is distinct from the mainland India. These people look like Asians. The states in these region does not know their real history. These people were tribals, head hunting, blood sarificing type of people. Today these states are all 100% Christian except 3 states. If you don't remember Jesus was from the northern part of ancient Israel and much of his preaching was done in the nephtali region around the sea of Galilee. It was nearly all reestablished under rule for hundreds of years before Rome completely did it in 70 ad.

They are largely lost, though. The language and culture of the lost tribes died after generations away from the levant. These Israelites likely assimilated into the cultures of their conquerors, eventually losing their distinct cultural and religious identities.

Trade throughout Arabia, north Africa and the Mediterranean found a crossroads in the lower levant, and whoever controlled it, controlled trade in that corner of the world. The Hebrew kingdoms often found themselves squeezed between large empires with much more manpower and resources, such as Egypt, or Assyria, or the Babylonians. It wasn't a curse of God that caused these people to be subjected, it was the geography from which they initially settled.

Hello Sarat Modugu, you raise an interesting question. Three factors were involved. The first, as alluded to by C G, was intermarriage and mixing with foreign cultures. The tendency of the Israelites to intermarry with foreigners is well documented in the biblical text and can be easily discerned archeologically as well (especially in relation to Phoenician intermarriage). Not only was intermarriage integral to the Israelite psyche, it was ALSO an official policy of the Assyrian Empire that had resettled them in central Anatolia and Western Iran. The Assyrians encouraged intermarriage to create “new Assyrian” populations as buffer zones along their frontiers. The second factor was the long time horizon involved: Israelite settlers were intermarrying and adopting foreign cultures for centuries. In fact, roughly 5 generations of Israelites had come and gone in the resettlement areas by the time the Assyrian Empire finally unravelled with the death of Ashurbanipal. Most if not all of those fifth generation Israelites would have seen themselves as Assyrians by this time. The third factor was equine skills and knowledge, both horsemanship and horse breeding. The Israelites were highly skilled charioteers and cavalrymen, so much so that when Samaria fell, the elite Samarian chariot force was imbedded directly into the Assyrian army as a distinct unit. The resettled Israelites also did not lose their equine knowledge because many of the area to which they were sent were horse breeding and training areas of the Assyrian Empire. So, when they eventually started moving into the areas north of the Black Sea they already had many cultural similarities with the nomadic equine cultures of the steppes.

Very detailed, however, your footnotes do not mention that although many people left, most people remained and later converted to Islam. Therefore at best, you can say that the original Jews are in fact modern day Palestians and all these other groups claiming this Jewish identity - Black Israelites and European Jews - are converts. Did I hear him say the lost tribes migrated into Europe? So, where did he get that theory from? It's shown clearly in the Bible that they migrated to Arsareth, which today is located in North Africa, specifically Algeria. Is it not the same region that was taken over by Roman Empire much later. While it's likely that some made it over to Europe, it is likely that most migrated south rather north.

You forgot to mention that many people from the Kingdom of Israel went South as refugees to the Kingdom of Judah. That being the reason why Jerusalem became much bigger at the time of King Hezekiah.

And why "Jew" is widely used to put context on the Israelites instead of the individual tribes. Because Judah stayed cohesive while others split and migrated into the Eurasian steppes. Christianity came later because of Roman Empire and Byzant. Albanians believe they are Ilyrians because of their language. But genetical I dont think they are 100% maybe mixed. Dalmatians went to Dalmatia, today when you compare Dalmatian people or people from north Croatia you will noticed they dont look alike at all. Dalmatia was later added to Croatia. Same goes for my country Bosnia and Herzegovina there is huge differences between 2 regions. Iliyrian people I think were around Dinaric area. With the "theory" of the 10 Northern Israelite Tribes going into Europe after the Assyrian captivity, then how are they returning to they're homeland of Jerusalem, fighting and taking into captivity the Southern Tribes (Judah, Benjamin and Levi)?

@@littleone1172 christians were all jewish at one point. They just are stricter and do not believe in jesus. They cannot be forgiven, but that does not mean we cannot treat them well on earth

Could be Israelites of northern kingdom found favor in Assyria, a little like Joseph in Egypt, who may have been favorably disposed to the people of Jonah who brought repentance to Assyria?
After so many years of several northern Israeli tribes living in Southern Assyria they were pretty much kicked out weren't they? And wondered to find new land to settle in thus causing them to become scattered even more. Most interesting is the fact that the writings and recordings of the tribes like Juda are slim at best. It is determined that because of their blood and religion and customs they didn't mix very well with African tribes and were easily given up into slavery. Captured and traded to bounty slave traders was made easier. It these facts are true and I believe they are then some of the Hebrews decendents were brought to America and the islands as slaves many years later. Then it's not so farfetched to say some of what is called American "blacks" are indeed from the tribe of Judah as some claim.
