Obviously some Jews aren't the same as the apperance of those many decades ago, but we all are the descendants.
Many European if you'd do some research, even have a few African percentage in their DNA, even the whitest.
Obviously the Mizrahi Jews are more authentic to the Semitic look, in addition to the fact that there were very limited mixes, but even 'European Jews' bare some features to what defines a Semitic Hebrew look.
Times are changing and Israel is not the same Israel as thousands years ago, same as other countries.
No country stays the same.
However the point is that this land opens itself to those who is Hebrew or at least identify because in the end we can't track our roots beyond 3-5 generations at most (and some do proof that they are indeed Hebrew descendants).

Parts of Jordan and Syria, and also Lebannon, were Israel at some point in history as well.

1. Israel had been the homeland of the Jewish people for 1000 years already by the time this video starts! How can you drop 1000 years of someone's history???
2. No mention of how the Assyrians massacred the Jewish people, and took a huge percentage of the Jewish people away as slaves! And then Assyria occupied Israel for a century, but who cares about massacres or enslavement of Jews I guess, and who cares about that acknowledging that this land was the free and independant nation of Israel until Assyrian occupation??
3. Babylon also massacred the Jewish people, and also dragged a huge percentage of Jewish people off in chains, and destroyed their most holy place, and occupied the land of Israel.
4. Jewish culture wasn't founded in 538 BC after Cyrus the Great, and the Torah wasn't written at that time. The Torah was given to the Jewish people by G!d during the Exodus, which occured between 1500 and 2000 BC, although modern archaeology disagrees on when exactly it occured. In any case the Torah, which IS the Bible in it's original Hebrew, was carried into the land of Israel with the Jewish people, upon their return after slavery in Egypt, although Israel was already home to the Jewish people before being slaves in Egypt. They were only in Egypt because of a famine in Israel, but with the understanding that they would return to Israel after. Suggeting that the Torah was written down 1000 to 1500 years later than it was, is wrong, and misleading, and so is suggesting that Jewish culture was only organised 1000 to 1500 years after it was. Seriously, that's a HUGE amount of history to erase. Jewish culture then, and still now, is based 100% on the Torah, which the Jewish people already had with them some time between 1500 and 2000 BC, depending on which archaeologist you ascribe to.
5. Judaea, which is the Romanized way of calling what the Jews and the Torah had referred to as Israel for over a millenium, was not "incorporated into the Seleucid kingdom... it was OCCUPIED by them. When Alexander died his empire was divided among his generals, with Ptolemy ruling over the Egyptian part, and Seleucus ruling over the Syrian part. The Ptolemies were occupiers of Israel before the Seleucids were, but the Ptolemies we less horrible in their occupation. The Seleucids though were monstrous to the Jewish people. The Seleucids made it against the law for Jews to practice Judaism, specifically murdering any Jew who circumsized their son, or who kept the Sabbath, as two examples. That isn't just "incorporating Israel into their Seleucid kingdom - it's forced and very, very violent occupation, complete with mass murder of the occupied Jewish population, and forced conversion!
6. The divide in Israel was NOT about religious Jews vs Hellenized Jews!!!! What the serious f. After years of back and forth fighting between the Seleucids and the Ptolemies, the Seleucid Greek army occupied Israel and monstrously oppressed the people of Israel. After being abused and massacred and forced to convert, the people of Israel finally rebelled when the Seleucids started raping Jewish brides on the day of their weddings, and in specific when they tried to rape the daughter of the high priest Mattitiyahu (see Hasmonean Dynasty to learn more). The Jewish people fought to regain their independance from the vicious Seleucid occupation, and regained their freedom. Why is this so severely misrepresented and distorted?
7. The Romans didn't just 'conquer the region'. Israel had at that point been the one and only homeland of the Jewish people for nearly 2000 years, and then Rome came in and occupied the people of Israel, and massacred people, and viciously oppressed the Jewish people, and took huge numbers of people away as slaves, and forced the Jews to pay tributes (i.e. robbed them) and surpressed their right to practice Judaism, again murdering Jews who dared practice Judaism, and actively tried to erase Jewish identity and independance by destroying their most holy place again, the Temple in Jerusalem, and renaming Jerusalem to Aelia Capitolina, and by renaming Israel as Syria Falestina. They passed laws banning Jews from entering the Jewish capital, Jerusalem, slaughtered huge numbers of Jews who dared fight for their freedom, and dragged huge numbers of Jewish people off as slaves. Nonetheless some Jews remained in Israel, and have remained there the ENTIRE time from then until now, continuously, despite many subsequent occupation of Israel by other foreign powers!
8. In 1922 after the defeat of the Ottoman Empire, all 51 members of the League of Nations uninimously voted to recognize the Jewish people's *right* to *reconsitute* their national home in *their own historic homeland* of Israel. Once the League of Nations was disbanded and the United Nations took its place, the member states agreed to maintain all agreements and not “alter in any manner the rights whatsoever of any states or any peoples or the terms of existing international instruments to which Members of the United Nations may respectively be parties” (article 80, U.N. Charter). The Mandate for Palestine, as Israel was referred to in these documents, adopted by the League of Nations was the last legally binding document pertaining to the parceling out of the Holy Land. In Article 5 of the mandate, it explicitly states, “The Mandatory shall be responsible for seeing that no Palestine territory shall be ceded or leased to, or in any way placed under the control of the Government of any foreign Power.” Accordingly, to this very day, all Jewish settlements in Israel, including all of Judea and Samaria, are legal, while all unauthorized Arab settlements are illegal. Every time you talk about Jewish people living somewhere in Israel as "occupation" it flies in the face of almost 4000 years of the history of the people of Israel in the land of Israel, even after ALL of the abuses and torment they've been put through over history, as well as directly in the face of international law as unanimously agreed upon by the 51 members of the League of Nations at the time, and as agreed upon by the U.N. when it was formed!
9. There weren't mutual tensions between the Arabs and the Jews. That is totally misleading. The Jews pleaded with their Arab neighbours for peace. The Arabs incited mass hatred towards the Jewish people and openly declared their intention of "driving the Jews into the sea" and wiping all the Jews out from the region. Various Arab nations united in an effort to annihilate the people of Israel. Jordan attacked Israel and massacred people, drove many out, destroyed many Jewish sites, and then occupied Israel for many years, while Egypt did the same in the area of the Gaza. In 1947, the U.N. recommended a plan via nonbinding Resolution 181 to partition off most of the land to the west of the Jordan River for a new Arab state and a tiny swath of non-contiguous land, mainly along the Mediterranean coast, for a Jewish state. This suggestion was totally immoral and absurd since it suggested that after being attacked and massacred, and having been violently occupied by Jordan for all those years, that the path to peace with them was to give away their homeland?!?! And on top of that, those borders were indefensible, and the crafters of the plan knew it. That was the point. Yet Israel was willing to accept it, even though it meant giving away half of their one and only homeland, the only home for the Jewish people in the world after about 4000 years of Jewish history there... if only it could finally mean peace and safety for the Jewish people in their homeland. Their Arab neighbors, though, were not willing to accept anything short of complete eradication of any Jewish presence in the region - which to this day is stated plainly in the Palestinian Charter. By rejecting this recommendation from the U.N., which it was illegal for the U.N. to suggest, and which was nonbinding to begin with, the Arabs permanently lost any legal or moral grounds for demanding another state west of the Jordan River.
10. It wasn't a "civil war" that broke out. It was Arab nations decalring open intent to kill all the Jewish people so they could claim their land, and the people of Israel fighting to survive and hold onto their home, while pleading for peace.
11. The modern state of Israel hasn't EVER started a war with their Arab neighbours. Not ONCE. When the neighbouring Arab countries have attempted to kill Israelies and take their land, Israel has defended itself. Period. Even when in the course of defending itself, Israel has captured any land from their attacker, it then ceded the land back, in the hopes of peace. Saying anything else is massive distortion of history, and only serves to further fuel the vicious hatred against the people of Israel.
12. The Jewish people, aka the people of Israel, have a right to exist free and in peace in their one and only homeland. Nobody has a right to claim the land from them, not even in part. History attests with massive mountains of hard evidence to the thousands of years of history of the Jewish people in the land of Israel, and international law upholds their right to their national home in this, their historic homeland, and defends their rights against any who would attempt to lay claim to the land.

The Jewish people were also taken away as slaves by Assyria later on. Look up Jewish or Hebrew captivity Nineveh Assyria. The Assyrians took a huge part of the Jewish people captive as slaves and led them away. This is where the 10 lost tribes went. Not only is this extremely well documented from that time period (8th century BCE), but in fact you can see depictions of this event on the Lachish Reliefs < look up the images. Also the Babylonians took Jewish people away again in huge numbers into slavery (see Babylonian captivity), and then later the Romans also took many, many Jews away from Israel as slaves, as well as slaughtering and exiling many others.
