Lure fishing for Bass and mackerel in the Solent - UK SMALL BOAT FISHING

I finally got back out on the boat and got the camera out. After finishing work at 1pm I quickly got down to the boat with the lovely weather we had with temperatures getting up to 29 degrees I thought I would get the lures out and try for some bass for the table. After doing a couple of drifts with the feathers I managed to get myself a few mackerel early on which was a good sign. After seeing some birds working I got the lure out for a few flicks and managed a couple of decent bass followed by a few smaller ones. It just goes to show that you done need a full day out on the water to have a productive trip on the boat. I had some bait with me but I didnt feel the need to drop the anchor and bait fish with all the fun seemed to be on the lures that day. All in All a very good afternoon catching bass and mackerel and very good fun on light gear. Lets hope that the weathers lets me back straight back out there for some more. Sometimes the solent produces some nice fish specially when the weather is on point. Hope you enjoyed the video. More to follow :)
