  • Why You Should Visit SAN GIMIGNANO Italy? First Time in San Gimignano. I’m Rok and I’ve spent last 8 years travelling around Europe as a tour guide. I want to how you one of my favourite places San Gimignano in Tuscany, to let you know why it is worth the visit.
In this San Gimignano video I want to tell you why this medieval Tuscan town is known as Medieval Manhattan and why it has a skyline made of stone towers from 12 and 13 hundreds. Town is still surrounded by medieval wall and can be entered only through one of the massive stone gates. Why there are so many towers in San Gimignano? You will find out in this video.

This city has such a rich history and perfectly located along the trading routes! I love the ''owner'' of the gelato shop. Would have loved to meet his wife.

Yes the owner is really cool guy. He is often standing in front of his shop and talking to people.

Thank you :) Italy is planing to open its borders with June 3rd. Small steps towards "the old days" keep on happening.

Wonderful and informative, Rok I have a question, your start point was Lucca to visit San Gimignano or maybe Sienna,Florence, because I want to visit this place, but I see I have to combine train and bus from Lucca to San Gimignano.Thank you and greetings ( Gremo Slovenci ;).

Thanks. I've been filming places around Tuscany on many occasions and I have made many trips. There was no starting point for me. But the closest way to San Gimignano is from Sienna.
