Great opening track! Always liked Soldano amps, even the Jet City offshoot had some good amps at more affordable prices. You do the best gear demos on CZcams for sure.

🤣"Jut a VERY TINY AMOUNT.........of a million different effects". Sorry, Euge....couldn't help but tease you a bit. ANY Soldano is a killer Soldano. In my old age, the fewer buttons to press, or figure out, the better. But, a killer sounding amp, and I particularly love the clean. I'd love to hear how the crunch channel sounds on this amp though. Most people tend to just straight into the OD channel, when the crunch (pushed) is Solano's signature tone (IMO). I second your comment on Michael Neilsen's video of this amp. He does a really good job of breaking it all down, for all the button-pushers out there. Absolutely LOVE it when you break out your driving 80's riffs when demo'ing these style amps. You should do an 80's inspired album, Euge. Killer demo! Thanks for sharing.

Great video!! Loved those mids in the intro song, but also the low end chugs. Plus that ESP natural finish strat is hitting right in the feelings 😢 reminds me of my Peavey raptor made in USA I restored and gave to my late father … I should build one for me 🤔

Awesome as always. I’ve been looking at getting a Soldano for years this might be the one or maybe the SLO 30. Unfortunately for this one the power switch is in the back and it doesn’t look to have a standby.
I really enjoyed that Astro song you know me I’m a sucker for rhythm on the higher strings. You should really consider putting that on your next album.
The ASTRO-20 uses high grade and higher voltage electrolytic caps so Standby is not needed. In addition, it has an innovative internal current regulated soft start for both the Poweramp and Preamp tubes.

Hey Euge! You did the best demo of this amp for sure, I went and bougt the Soldano Astro you inspired me. I have the 212 Marshal vertical cab with the Celestions V-Types in it. I am not getting this aggressive out of the speakers that you are. Which speakers do you recommend and or cab. Thanks

I can’t remember 100% what I used on this one so please check out the Gear & Signal chain - section ’cos there was most likely a good reason I used whatever I used so I’d recommend those 😎.
And please also remember that you are hearing a miked sound (no shit 😁) and the mics and the mic pre plays an important part for the overall sound too.

How does this Soldano Astro-20 watts compare with the EVH 5150iii 50 watts?
Next question: in a live gig at a medium-size pub with a loud drummer and NO mic on my speakers, could this Soldano Astro-20 watts keep up with a loud drummer in terms of volume?
Nice sound, but is it worth the price I wonder. I ahve yet to beat the sound of my Flying V and Les Paul through my Blackstar HT Stage 100 into my Blackstar 2 x 12 with Vintage 30's.

Hi Euge, I have a few fuzzes that I like and Empress Heavy Menace (distortion). I'd like to be able to use those pedals with Astro, if I can ever afford to buy one. ;) I can see this amp takes boosts really well, but how about fuzzes distortions?
