You just know Wes knew EXACTLY what he was doing and if the Weinsteins were to say “no this subject matter is too close to home” they’d basically be admitting it
The problem with people like Harvey Weinstein is that he doesn't think he did anything wrong, and wouldn't have made the connection to himself if seeing plots like this in a movie
“You’re obsessed with her, and you’re obsessed with her daughter!” 😂🤣😂🤣 This was the Scream installment that said “f it” and just went for it, leaning heavily into camp…and it’s glorious. 😂 Parker Posey steals every scene she’s in. Her choices to be cracked and over the top and deliciously campy is such a legend move. I adore her performance in this, and I adore this Scream.

Fun fact that I actually just learned while listening to the audio commentary for Scream 1-3, Wes Craven said that the scenes with Ghostface calling the victims, the actors just used actual phones while Roger L Jackson was off set where they couldn't see him. Actually the entire filming of the first Scream the actors never saw what Roger even looked like till after shooting lol

Scream 3 is my favorite. I've seen it the most out of all the Scream movies, followed by 1. It's so good and I don't care who disagrees. *snaps* 😂

My mom took me to this. I got the Mariah Rainbow album. Those two memories are eternally linked. A particular song makes me think of the bloody bedsheet "ghost" scene in particular. And no, I wasn't listening in the theater. Not sure why they're that intertwined.
I absolutely love Parker Posey. She's great in this and i love her in You've got mail.
Apparently this movie had a TON of rewrites even when they were filming which is why some of the plot points are a little disconnected and all over the place, I think Angelina was supposed to be a killer at some point, but IMO it's still a great Scream movie. Kinda love the meta humor of the rewrites too lmao honestly the meta humor is awesome here

This is actually my second favorite movie of all time. It's another form of antidepressants for me. This movie worked for me on so many levels.

I love you guys for not only stanning Scream 3 in general, but Gale and her bangs in particular! Let's be honest, Courteney Cox makes it work. I love this movie so much, esp the cast - it's such an iconic group of characters, and everyone is so gorgeous! I know that Scream is more gory than campy, which is why people don't like this movie, but I think that the first movie was pretty campy too, especially the iconic performance of Matthew Lillard. So yeah, Scream can handle a little camp, or in this case, a lot of camp.
Scream 3, the MASTERPIECE of Horror Comedy
David Arquette is a really nice guy and very cool. He was at our Scarefest horror convention last October. Skeet Ulrich, Matthew Lillard and Jamie Kennedy will be at this years event. Also Dermot Mulroney from Scream 6.
I love this one because it was the first Scream movie I ever saw as a kid. It has a special place in my heart.
I met Parker Posey once and her vibe wasnt great. I cant even describe it. She didnt know i knew who she was either. Maybe if i had met her in a different environment and she knew i knee she was a celebrity she would have been able to put on an act. To me, she believes she is better than others and looks down on regular people. That was just my experience with her though.
I love the whole scene between Roman and Sidney. You can really feel that sibling vibe between the arguing back and forth and the fighting. One of the things that I love about Sidney is she doesn't care who you are she's not afraid to talk shit back to them and can be savage lol (except for Randy he did that and got killed for shit talking on Billy with Ms. Loomis). She is mostly the one who doesn't beg for her life and actually fights back with balls (well, Gale and Dewey did a little bit in the 3rd and 5th). The ending, though between Roman and Sidney, when they held each other's hand that right there is my all-time favorite moment between a hero/vilian, it felt so bittersweet between them both. Like you can see, she feels for him cause he was rejected by their mother, but at the same time, it's about survival and doing what she has to do to survive. For him it's he always wanted a family but got rejected by his birth mother, and then the jealousy just took over. Also, it didn't help with it being his 30th birthday and became a trigger that made him snap and went after Sidney.
- So, the original plan was Roman was just going to be the puppet master staying behind the curtain kind of thing and set it up to where Billy and his accomplice which ended up being Stu to only go after Maureen Prescott. But after they killed her they got a taste for it and decided to continue on for themselves with Sidney and their peers. Scream 2 was a ripple effect of the events that happened in the 1st. It just about revenge for Ms. Loomis and just hired Mickey as her lackey. Then Scream 3 with it coming into his 30th birthday a reminder of him being abandoned by his mom and directing a movie about Sidneys life it was Iike a mental trigger for him where he just snapped mentally. So, he ended up going after her due to the jealousy of their mom only wanting Sidney and wanted nothing to do with him. Maureen even tried to convince him that his mom "Rina Reynolds" was dead so it struck a nerve, and that's exactly what he did.
I'm totally convinced that John Milton is Roman's father and nothing can make me believe differently. Sure that Milton provided financial backing and contacts in the film industry to help get Roman started (even if it's never acknowledged).
I don’t even count the movies after 3. Sid deserves that happy ending.
Unpopular Opinion: Gale's bangs didn't look that bad, but a complete step down from the red streaks.
Scream 3 is my faaaaave and I thought the bangs were edgy! Parker Posey is mother of mothers.

This movie was released the same year Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt got married and yet has a character named Angelina and a character named Jennifer Jolie in addition to specific references to things not working out with Brad Pitt--to a character whose name is an amalgamation of his two wives *before* he had even met the second one. Am I the only one who finds this odd?
I like how Scream 6 is like a sequel to Scream 2 because when Blilly Loomis died In 1996 His mom came for revenge and in Scream 6 Samantha Killed Richie Kirsch and His brother Ethan His dad and his sister Quinn came for revenge

I don't know why so many think the voice changer was so unbelievable.. Roman was a music video and movie DIRECTOR IN HOLLYWOOD. He could have easily gotten it from somewhere in the industry OR could have paid some tech genius to make him a personalized voice changer. Then, with collecting the voices to be able to use. Cotton has his own tv show, Gale is a reporter, Dewey worked onset with him, He probably looked into the stuff that Maureen (Rina Roberts) was in to get hers, and then got Sidneys voice from the first time he called her when he used her mothers voice.
It was one of the smartest plays on here. It really made you think.. are you really talking to that person, or is it ghostface masking behind their voices. Like when Roman called Sarah, it was like hiding in plain sight. We didn't know if it actually was him or someone else using his voice. He used Sidneys voice to lure Dewey and Gale to the mansion. So he could turn around to use them as bait to lure Sidney to him away from the cops. I knew right away it wasn't actually Sid. Like when the caller talking to Dewey when she mentioned being protected by the LAPD at the end of it the caller had a like a little chuckle when talking about the cops. Then like Y'all pointed out the caller cut Dewey off and hung up on him. Sidney would never do that to Dewey.

He was a little chubby as a kid. That movie was awesome. There's young Whil Wheaton and River Phoenix. Teen Keefer Sutherland, and Corey Feldman put in a truly great non comedic performance. Stephen King wrote the book it's based on and it is the best non horror thing he ever wrote in my opinion.

Some fun facts for you.
Fact 1: Sarah's character and the outfit she wore when she died was purposely made by Wes to make fun of Sarah Michelle Gellar from Scream 2. I guess him and SMG didn't really get along. Sarah Darling was only in two scenes and dressed similar like CiCi in Scream 2.
Fact 2: Originally it was only going to be a trilogy that's why Randy was giving the rules of a trilogy cause that's what it was. The ending with leaving the door open was a symbolism how now she feels at peace and how she can finally live her life. Scream 4 and so on didn't come into picture till years down the line when all of the other movies/TV shows were making remakes. So of course they had to poke fun with it lol.
Fact 3: Wes did the Cameo video with Randy because he regretted for killing him off so early and for the back lash he got from the fans lol. That's why Tyson made that little comment about how "the killer was probably some pissed off fan that Randy was killed in Stab 2" lol.
Fact 4: The original script was going to be Stu coming back that he survived the tv and had been in prison and orchestrated a cult to go after Sidney. Roman the half brother story was literally the last minute change. Just before they started filming the 3rd the Columbine shooting massacre happened and it hit to close to home so they were forced to scrap that storyline because of it and that's why the kills weren't that extreme as the other movies. It was a rough time when that happened for the tv shows/horror cinema. So they changed it to Roman and Angelina as the killers where Angelina went to high-school with Sidney. But they had to change it again during filming and left it only being Roman as the solo killer. That's why in some scenes Angelina was really sketchy. So for the 3rd it was a solo killer.
Fact 5: In the movie they brought up a lot on how scripts kept getting changed for Stab 3. Well they where also making fun with it because of the amount of times they had to change the script between Scream 2 and 3.
Fact 6: The mansion for the final act the outside and the upstairs Hallway where Tyson was killed is the same one from Halloween H20 where Laurie was running a school.
Fact 7. Yes, John Milton character was based off of Weinstien. During first Scream filming he harassed Rose McGowan (Tatum). Can you imagine how awkward it would to produce a movie that's based about you in that manor lol. Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson wanted to expose him for who he was.

Well from the very first time I saw Scream one I picked up on the Leopald and Loeb vibe so I am not surprised that the Petty Pumpkin guys did too. It HAS to be deliberate.
I was sad not to have Randy in this movie, so I was happy to see him.
While this is not my favourite one, I will never deny it's not still fun and a good watch, if Scream 6 lives up to it's hype and marketing, there will get to be a genuinely BAD Scream movie

It should have worked. A big mistake in Scream 5 for me. Would have been so easy to just open with them having been married 20 years instead of estranged *yet again.*
i heard they were estranged in scream 5 because they were divorced IRL by that point and didn't want to work together like that anymore. i'm not sure though, i'm not exactly following their relationship and i haven't seen anything from courtney cox or david arquette about the situation.
