Pedro pascal has his character on point even in the smallest details… like when he crosses the plank, he was a construction worker before the outbreak so it makes sense that he’s calm and not even looking down his feet when crossing
and that was before 20 years of living rough / surviving. Dude is tough
since they aren’t zombies, you’d just call them "infected"
If you guys decide to give the game a try, I suggest waiting until after the season is over.
I dunno, I think in some ways its best to be playing it for the finale, because you feel EXACTLY how Joel feels, dunno if a tv show can replicate it
catch-all term is "infected". the regular ones are "runners", the blind ones are "clickers". they aren't dead so they're not zombies.
Ngl, while I'm still sceptical what the show might bring us, I was so positively terrified with the perfect adaptation of Clickers. 100% accurate looks and sounds.

Both games are amazing and I recommend them. The first one is more leaner while the second has big open spaces you can explore. Both aren’t open world but have dome sections where you can explore some big places specially the second one.
Definitely recommend you guys to play the game. Get the remake version for the PS5. It’s not open world per se but you can explore quite a bit and loot around for utility items and other fun stuff for which you can get trophies if you’re into that. The game is so well worth it, so brilliantly created and very emotional (as you can already see through the show)

The game is sorta open world, it’s like a liner open world. It’s story based so the story takes you place to place, but once you’re in that place, you can explore for supplies and obviously there’s a certain extent to how far you can explore in certain areas.
The “zombies” you saw in that museum scene are called clickers since they, yknow, click. They click to use echolocation to see since the fungus grew out onto their face and covered their eyes.
Also, it takes multiple shots to the face to kill them because the fungus on their face works as armor as well. They’re as scary in the show, if not more, than the are in the game
Those blind dudes are called clickers. They click to ecolocate. Tough to kill unless you have a certain weapon. They can instant kill you without it. I recommend playing the game after you watch they whole series.
They didn't just spread at the factory through human bite infection. The flour theory of the fungus having infiltrated a large batch of flour, thus spreading it in continuous bursts world wide starting almost instantaneously. Also, look how many times Joel, Tommy, and Sarah avoided flour -> pancakes, cakes, biscuits, cookies. Nana was the one who was found eating biscuits earliest, which makes sense for why she turned first.

This show is excellent so far also the people acting the clickers did flawlessly
The game doesn't have missions or quests, just the main narrative, when you cross a certain point things happen, but you can explore stuff around you. It's not open world, but it is rewarding to go in a room that you're not supposed to go through and find some letters or resources / open additional dialogue. Often times, when you're on a street and supposed to go forward, you can just explore houses on each side, shops etc.
I can't afford to play the game itself but at least live action are here.
What Neel is decribing for open world to explore, do what you want, zombies, and story, exploring buildings, is exactly what The Evil Within 2 is. play it, it's very good haha
