    My dad had a similar mixure with the ingredients molasses, cement, some acid (he cant remember which), which was poured over whole maize seeds. This created a good tasting "cereal" for oxen. He used it to fatten his oxen. Worked wonderful he said.

    thanks a lot for all your videos. it helps me a lot with my cattle farming. could you make a video show us how to make Corn Silage? there aren't any video show how to make silage in detail ..

    • @dragonmarvelous
      @dragonmarvelous  Před 8 lety

      Have you check my other video "Rice Straw Silage Production in Brunei Darussalam"?. Corn silage method is similar, wilted the corn overnight, then add 1% - 2.5% of molasses mix with water (1:10 ratio) spread on the corn 1 layer at a time, compacting the corn in silo pit is essential before cover it up. once compacted leave for fermentation. open after 3 weeks to use as cattle feed. good luck! 😊

    how long does it take to go hard? Made some, and it is still soft. The recipe i used didn't have any water in it though . . .

    • @dragonmarvelous
      @dragonmarvelous  Před 3 lety

      If you’re using pure molasses normally took 3-4 days under sunlight. And FYI it’s better to use it without water.

    • @jakesgrobler1634
      @jakesgrobler1634 Před 3 lety

      @@dragonmarvelous then why do you use water? To dissolve the urea I guess?
      I made my block two weeks ago, still soft, but it's been in the shade though.
      Tx for responding.

      @@jakesgrobler1634 I would never feed anything cement BUT if you want you have to use water since it works like a chemical dryer, hardening it.

      cement powder is only a binding agent, you can also use lime powder which I would prefer lime, you can also use powdered egg shells
