- This is the official version of Nickelback's first EP, Hesher. It has the first versions of Where? and Left, while there is a difference in the songs Fly, with a more raw/less produced sound, and Windowshopper with a less distorted sound. I do not own this, and all rights belong to Nickelback/SOCAN.

I love Hesher it has such unique sounds plus the way Chad sings it’s like he puts so much emotion into every song
Chad's voice is so raw - I'd prefer this over cleaned up vocals any day. Feels like an actual person singing.
Chad actually used half the money he borrowed from his dad for this EP to buy shrooms lol
wow, hearing chad's 90's influence makes me think he should cover nirvana

because the rest of their albums sound nothing like this and curb and the state and they arent good

Wow, a version with the ACTUAL original versions of Where and Left. Most videos just have the Curb versions pitch shifted.

The bass on where is so intense, pretty awesome
This proves my theory that Nickelback were once a group of talented musicians but were led astray by the prospect of becoming millionaires, which I get, you got bills to pay and if playing music is all you really know how to do it makes sense you’d sell your soul a bit for financial security

Silver Side Up and The Long Road are significantly better releases than Hesher, Curb and The State, so I'll never get this perspective.

The opening track sounds like a beast awakening from it's lair ready to dominate the music world.

This is Great!! But ya know.... If ya really think about it... Yes... Nickelback started out as a "Grunge" band.... ( Chad actually hated this... They only made 1000 copies of this).... But Nickelback could've been a a great " Grunge" band,... And maybe people think they "Sold Out".... But look where they are today!!! They have millions of viewers, fans, lots of Money!! Isn't that what fame and fortune is all about??? Well... I they are a Great band!! They have done well!! ❤️

While this is not as bad as Chad thinks; it's far from the heights ascribed to it here.
Chad sounds far to much like his influences as he searches for his voice.
You want to be edgy and say NickelBack was so cool when they had a muddy raw mix,
the truth is if you got here you're a NickelBack fan, sport. No shame in that for any of us.
I think top Chad was in the long road and fight for all the right reasons. It started to be a bit metallic and artificial after. Still great.
