Customize your Homey - New Icons & Status indicators!

- You can now fully customize your smart home with Homey. Select which Icons & Status information you want to use for any of your smart home devices.
Quickly view status indicators or sensor information like: battery %, temperature, humidity, etc. All shown right on your home screen, this lets you create a better single view of your smart home, and integrates sensor value / status right into your device tiles.
Let's not forget about custom icons, these can now be added to any device which you don't like the look off. For example, change the icon of a smart plug, to the actual device that's plugged into it. Or are you using in-built modules? Change their icons to reflect their use, like for lights, or roller blinds / shutturs.

Could we get an open source library for icons, where athom, developers and users can upload their icons for review to have them added into homey?
Great update! I would like icons added for: fridge, washing machine, door (for door contact sensor), homecinema projector, computer and printer.

I really liked the product, it seems to be the best home automation hub today, it integrates a lot of technology and several different devices, which everyone wants integration, as you can see the Brazilian market, I would really like the Portuguese language on Homey
This is an very nice update! I would like to see these icons: Not for this time of the year, but I like to see a Christmas tree or Christmas lights. And I miss icons for the garden. I have some ground spots and a cable with lights (prikkabel) in a tree.

Yeah.happy with this!! Missing only Christmas lights, water fountain, router, garage door, louvered shutters and garden watering. (Also as device classes)

There are a lot of icons we all would like to have added, so maybe a next update could make it possible to upload your own SVG files??? Just a thought tho.

Hey guys. Nice video and nice features. I would recommend some new icons to add. These are for devices which I already control via Tuya smart and would like to switch to Homey: automatic gate, garage door, some outdoor lights (installed on a house facade), electric water pump, water/gas valve, ventilator (build in wall/ceiling), garden watering, vertical blinds. Hope these help to many Homey's users. ;-) Reading others' ideas below I found them very useful, too.
Nice update! Mainly missing a wall mounted light for both in and outside, as well as differerent lightbulbs outside, such as string lights, groundspot.
Yes definitely need some more icons for
Outdoor lights and wall lights
Groups of lights
Door and window sensors (single door, double door)
Air-conditioning
Electricity meter, gas meter, water meter (combo meter)
Weather (local station, remote station, weather service)
Sun screens
Nice update! Besides from the icon's already mentioned in the comments a pendant bulb icon would be nice, also an fluorescent light fixture icon. 🙌

Great update. The best would if one could import own icons, but the ones I missed while configuring was towel heater, oval bathroom mirror (with led lights around), wall or ceiling mounted fan (for room ventilation), more varieties of lamps; hanging from ceiling, multiple led spots in ceiling, smaller table lamps or window lamps (check IKEA catalogue) :)

Is this already implemented, I’m using a Fibaro HC2 and HC3. Uploading your own icons is standard

Very nice wanted it for long time. May be stupid but does alarm can still be show even if we set for example luminosity for an eye sensor? Alarm should always have higher priority than light. So display alarm over luminosity when triggered Is it possible?
i would like an option on to in one click turn a flow into a button . This is the one feature probably miss the most inn homey as my family understands it better and it would be great if the buttton was easier to import out to apple homekit :)
Hey, Can you guys use a hour or two on some more icons in Homey? Where is heat pump/air condition (a main thing in every household I assume), Panel oven (not only the radiator thats in now), More Google figure products (Nest hub, Google TV, Chromecast), etc

Hello, it will be possible add to icon for water? I mean , I have water shut off (AQUA-SCOPE - Ball Valve Servo Z-Wave+ 700) som switch open /close... and create some app for this? some more settings? thank you

what can you do if you want multiple Indicators on the same icon?

Hey Jesper, for multiple indicators on the same icon I'd recommend using the Homey Web App - my.homey.app - use large device tiles to see all status info.
Is it a nice idea to make your own icon and upload it to Homey? To customize more to my home/needs.

When het i change the icon, homey resets it in the original icon

this is not applicable to the free version. I hate the pale blue icon colors. how can we change it so that when I click on an icon a new tab opens?
Great Job! Cool! But why is not every variable of that device (or any) possible to show? And please please, give the zones-words just another colour. Green text on green background is just unreadable 🤪 if you are 40+ years 🙏

Great! Is it possible to set the % of luminosity for the status information, (e.g. for a dimmer / blinds control device)?
Hey Paolo, It's possible if the device has a luminosity sensor built in. Eg. A Fibaro Motion Sensor has Luminosity sensor built-in which can be selected as the status indicator. So depending on the dimmer or blinds device, if it has a light sensor, then this can be selected to be shown.
@@homey Hey thank you. I was meaning I have a Fibaro Dimmer Module and I want to set the % of dimming (sometimes called Luminance) as Status Information. Is that possible?

Nice! Can I also create my own icons? For example, I have an outside mailbox -obviously with sensor- and would love a icon for that (while we're at it, I love to be able to invert the alarm status -- in this case, the sensor is placed that a contact should give an alarm, and no contact is the normal situation)
Hey Freek, we are still looking into custom Icons, but your tip for a mailbox icon has been taken into account. Further, thanks for the advice on inverting a sensor behavior like that of a Door/window sensor it has been noted. :)

Maybe I am wrong, but I think what you mean is allready possible. At least with a Aqara door sensor.
Long press the icon of your door sensor. Press the config wheel in the top right corner. Choose for advanced settings. Now here the first option is to invert the alarm status.

@@dennisvandinter3700 Thanks for getting back to me. Sadly, the Neo Coolcam Door/Window sensor doesn't have that option. So I'm still hoping for some other option :)

Which Homey Firmware is required? Cause the options for icon changing and status don’t appear in the app (running Homey Firmware 5)
