  • This is a recipe for a small swiss roll. I used a tray measuring 11” x 7” / 27cm x 17.5cm x 3.5cm.
    It is made using very basic ingredients, self raising flour, eggs, sugar and vanilla. It is filled with strawberries, double cream and icing sugar.
    It is very important to grease the tray, as well as the baking paper to ensure the cake comes out in one piece.
    Dust lots of icing sugar before flipping, use too little and the cake could stick to the baking paper. Also, roll the cake whilst it is hot to ensure no cracks.
    For a bigger baking tray increase the amount of ingredients.
