@@Stridewise I haven't noticed much with kilties myself other than maybe adding volume to the in-step or waist a tad. I have yet to ever try the tongue pads either. Most of my issues are in the waist, ball, and low in-step area in terms of low volume. My high in-step and ankle aren't usually an issue.
I’m worried that my Diesels that seemed perfect when I got them are a tad big now after some break-in…I’m on the fence between D and E and maybe should have stuck with D! Might try some of these…I’m wondering about the extra insole thing. Is that a problem with an already-molded one below it?
The insole really makes a difference in shoe size. But watch out for too much cushiony bouncing that causes blisters from rubbing. Thanks for the leather insoles - I did not know they existed. I tend to take all insoles out. I never wear cotton socks. They cause blisters and never dry out. Try synthetic dress socks with work socks over them.
Don't forget to return them and get a better size
"Don't wear one pair of socks, wear two"
wear 5!
One thing you are missing is tongue pads. Kilties can take up a bit of volume as well.
i've tried that and really didn't find it to be the case. maybe if the instep's too roomy?
