- Just under a week ago I finally collected all the 1.0 costumes in Super Mario Maker 2! This took an insane amount of time and effort and I want to share with you how you could unlock all the mii costumes in smm2 for yourself. Today I share my tips, tricks, and strategies on getting each and every achievement and mii costumes whether it's VS mode, Co-op, Story mode, endless mode, etc. I also got a bit of help from some others in the mario maker 2 community. Anyways please enjoy these tips on unlocking all the mii costumes in super mario maker 2!

One crucial tip for VS if you are struggling to push higher:
Just hold right harder

I honestly would have attempted getting all of the costumes if the 100 super expert endless clears one did not exist. Maybe if my younger sister gets super mario maker 2 on her switch, I can use that for the two switches method.
With the 2 switch method I’ll get to 10 then just stop cuz I just want the Hoverclown

@@c1ZEY Update: I got it back in early July. I got to 10 clears with 29 lives by using the aggressive skipping method.
Also, it wasn't that hard.

For clearing 10k levels I have an even faster strat: go to the World Record Leaderboard and select one of the best players (I usually pick DSteves) Then go to their world record tab and clear these levels. These levels are often the shortest and you have less loading screens between levels than in Endless.

Larmt721 SMM2 I wasn't able to get many World Records. I just wanted to clear as many levels as fast as possible. I already got the WR costumes a long time ago.

@@MT94SMM No, I was on his stream when this happened, the thing that he said drew the line was that he was clearing levels for the first time and you were obsessively hitting the refresh button and then clearing the level immediately AS he just cleared the level for the first time which I could see being incredibly obnoxious and toxic behavior too, honestly. And unlike most other people, you kept doing it over and over again, day after day after day, again probably pretty annoying tbh. The people in the top 20 never attack each other and have a mutual level of respect for one another since they are all aware that it is unoptimal to attack others when farming records and there is faster ways to obtain them then that. JBizzle also gets pissed if someone grinds his records too.

I got ACTUAL all costumes, before the ninjis were released.
Also 3DW movement: Long Jump -> Spam Full Jump (flat)
Long Jump spam (Slopes)
Roll into pipes/clear pipes
With Cat suit (flat)
Full jump, cat dive, Long Jump immediately
Also you can make 5K plays on the same account, at the cost of your coursebot data deleted, delete data in data management, play on new account (use new email and get 7 day free trial), then re link your account

Good tip for Versus: NEVER block really high-ranked people because you lose less points when they win against you, and you win a lot of points for winning against them. Block lower-ranked people for the converse of this.
Except you lose more often with higher ranked people.
Depends. If you see someone in the top 25 you may want to block them

20:50 I KNOW HOW MUCH! To get the ansty courdorys, I believe it is 5 comments on a level, and to get the fried chicken hoodie, you need 10 comments on a level. I really don't know y that's so hard. The feedback means comments, and I just counted how many my level had when I made it #drybonesforsmash

@@kwisowofer9872 no it shouldn't because it means they are commenting about the level like what they like and what can be improved and you cant really tell yourself what you like and what you improve as you already know that

I’m pretty sure it includes your own comments on your levels, I put four comments on one of my levels and then got one comment from someone else and got the antsy corduroys. Assuming that you need to get five comments to get the pants, at least.
one problem. i had 20 comments on a lvl and i only got it at about 25 comments

@@mkboss6144 You only play with people in your general area, so, for example if you lived in the UK, you probably get people from the UK and Ireland. (I don't think the exact set-up is correct, but you hopefully get my point!) So, basically play whenever it is nighttime where you live.

Also I have a level with a custom boss-fight, where you have to throw bombs into the boss to defeat it. The boss is a fire snake build out of lava bulbs. As you allready made some custom boss-fight videos you might like it:

My personal comments to this amazing video:
While I would love to get the maker points by uploading speedrun levels, I feel that wouldn’t be showing myself truly, I prefer puzzle levels and I don’t want speed run levels (or the quick clear level) to taint my popularity, also I am very bad at the game so endless easy is difficult for me even though most of the clothes I want is in there :(
I would like some tips for what to do to get the maker points and plays and stuff without using those levels. And some tips for doing endless normal when you are bad at the game :)
Another technique I found for world records was to go to detailed search and look up easy levels with less than 10 plays. This allows you to have less people trying to steal it

Something easy I did for the world records and first clears is to find extremely unpopular levels using really weird search combinations
