The check on the turn was the real nightmare
Classic example of fuck around and find out
check on turn was unforgivable
Expecially on a draw heavy board like that it’s auto shove
I disagree...the check on the turn was indeed the incorrect play but it did save him around $100k because Taras was not folding to any turn bet with the combo draw...
Jam on the turn and Taras would call, run it twice and chop the pot.@@aqn1976
@@cannabis478 turn was no-brainer jam
@@aqn1976yeah but we're not playing results oriented poker. this is a terrible check.,
Why check the turn there? 😭😭
Cuz its Goofy! 🤣
Cuz he's n00b
Taras is never folding a combo draw, he lost less that way
Punishment. Hes an idiot. Then call on the river.
Taras fold turn for a massive bet like an all in@@bernardocampos6017
Well, thats a bit of a goofy play i'd say.
Gotta live up to his name
Nobody in the comments ever made a bad play.
@@firewizzard86 The irony is irresistible
Why would u check on the turn when there's a flush draw on the board! He deserves to lose that hand. I would've gone all in on the turn. 🤦♂️
Ladies and gentlemen the worst check in the history of poker
Omg, bro checked the turn!??!?!?!
And doesn't raise on river, just called with top set in 4 bet pot, so nitty...
@@salafaticraising the river here after checking the turn seems bad to me. You probably only get called by the flushes.
@@salafaticraising river is suicidal.
@salafatic, are you mad? No way you raise that river 😂😂
@@salafaticTaras literally put in majority of his stack in the river bet. You think he’s ever folding to a raise there?
Should've shoved turn and run it 2x.
The 3 was coming on the 2nd run out
Exactly
He learned that check on the turn from Phil Hellmuth!
😆💀
“He checked on the turn, honey! Can you believe he checked on the turn?!?””
How does trip kings check behind on the turn?
The raise to 50 was too low and then check the turn. Terrible
yep that check back was horrible.
Check on the turn??????😂😂 Deserved the beat!
I dont think Taras folds to a bet in the turn with the gut shot as well as the nut flush, He should have 5 bet pre that's the bigger issue imo
Maybe. But a shove gives him a chance for Taras to fold or run it 2x.
@@user-ho9rr5lv1l also gives him a chance to get stacked....
It’s about denying equity in the long run. Just a terrible play regardless of the outcome
I was second to act in a tournament with around 16k and BB was 1600. I bet 5100 and they folded to the BB who had only 2 k more. and he shoves - of course I call. Everyone knows I am a super tight payed and had even been talking about it. BB had A,10 off. All clear until of course the river. Caller said of course I called I had a big stack - ?? 2 k over me with much bigger stacks at the table. (I asked if he would have called if I shoved. UGH
Same league where a could of weeks ago someone shoved in front of me with 33 and I had KK (and had him covered by at least twice) OF COURSE 3 on the river. UGH
I swear this is why I never get value because if I do not shove first, I almost always gett hammered on the river :(
Precisely the reason you want to shove the turn. You get it in for stacks as a 3 to 1 favorite as opposed to getting put in the blender against a guy capable of bluffing that river and calling off 75k DEAD....
fantastic check on the turn bro
That turn check was so bad😂
Not sure what’s worse the snap check on the turn or the call on the river. What do your think he called 75k with on that flop that didn’t get there?
unreal..checking the turn!
how do you check the fin turn??
If you check that turn, you surely have to be prepared to fold your set once you see the flush on the board.
He checked the turn Rick.😂😂😂
JEEZ...CHECKING THE TURN
Don't understand the turn check especially after the check raise on flop. Now he might call on turn anyways but at least you make him pay 2 see the river as opposed 2 a free card
generally speaking, their nicknames are spot on with what you would imagine from just hearing the name. in the case of goofy.....they hit the nail on the head.
2 observations: 1) Goofy check was abysmal and 2) sleaze-ball Ryan wearing the HCL hoodie on the Lodge stream was classless and glad he got called out by Doug.
Poker players have always worn shirts, patches, etc. to promote their side hustle. It’s not classless at all, just helps grow the community…. I would bet you any amount of money you want that Doug is just giving him shit
Shocking check on the turn free card to hit the nuts
I mean when you check the turn like that you already made the decision that either you fold on flushes or you snapcall whatever comes so i dont get the tank there
And beeing honest if i saw club peeling after that mindless check i'd vomit and then fold my hand
Guess he earned his name, by giving him a free river.
Well deserved name.
should've gone all-in on the turn instead of checking
Exactly. I doubt he would have called on a draw.
Must have been the first time player big poker for the caller
What a gooooofy play, unbelievable
Giving a free card there on the turn is definitely a choice
goffy should either 5 bet or all in and a5 might have fold before flop
lol wow no 5x bet with KK that’s what’s going to happen in a Texas game. Lmfaoo how does he check the turn and not jam?? He deserves that😂
Only raises 30k more on the flop and checks back the turn?!?! Brutal decisions
Kings Jam the turn he leans toward a fold.
Play bad pre and turn, and even worst on the river...... that was Goofy😂
I’m making it at least 3x in flop raise, if not 5x. Too small of a raise IMO
Why with top set would you check the turn card? Should have been all in.
big fish 🐟
Well deserved, that turn check was just an invitation for a suckout.
What the fuck was that goofy check back on the turn????
Taras reaches for chips on the flop and Ryan looks to say you have the nuts or stupid balls
Posting comment at 1:10. Why pocket Kings isn't re-raising is just ASKING for trouble.
Why would you check those kings on a board like that .... crazy play ....
Oh no what check 😭
Easy jam after the turn.must charge the maximum to let him continue on his draw to protect his holdings
He is goofy with that turn check.
When taras 4 bet, goofy should have raised all in.
At least he looks like he checks turns
The turn check from goofy was bizarre… what was he thinking??
Just jam & he folds.
dude when you have the nuts you dont want a fold you want a call. you bet to deny equity, not to get a fold.
Ah yes, play the nuts in a way that you hope he folds...
@@mikeryan5856 depends on the runout donkey boi
His name suits him. 😂
in what universe is there any merit in checking back the turn after preflop and flop actions played out? What the hell haha
All-in on the turn from Goofy and the deal is over with 80% probability.
Jam turn
He played this whole hand backwards
that is some goofy play right there
Rookie move got hosed.
Nice check on the turn
How is the lodge letting Ryan plug his stream? 😂 soft as flowers.
Ah sweet - regardless - get tricky and give him a free river card. Then pay the price. I thought it was all about being aggressive not passively giving a free card. Well congratulations you didn't force him to decide to maybe fold.
Lived up to his name
That was the absolute stupidest check on the turn. $70,000 bet he would have folded!!!
All these "experts" in chat would be saying it was a genius turn check if the river was clean and Taras was forced to bluff.
Yeah but they’re right. If he jams then we don’t see a river card.
@@dazediss6629 hindsight is a wonderful thing. Of course betting is the approved play, but checking for deception now and again is fine too.......but yeah, because we know the club came it means it's a 100% a fish move. 😆
Some of the experts in chat actually play poker for a living and know what they're talking about, unlike you as you so clearly broadcasted.
@@RoCkShaDoWWaLkEr be quiet you mong.
Literally nobody would say it was a genius turn check. It's clear Taras has a made hand or a huge draw after calling the raise. Checking and hoping he is gonna bluff on a missed flush on the river is just bad
Dude flat called a 4 bet pre when he could have just 5 bet to 80k and won a 26k pot... Instead he flatted and tried to get tricky preflop, hoping (and tried to get tricky *again* on the turn)... Those two mistakes combined to cost him almost 150K
"Better to win a small pot than risk losing a massive one" -A dude Kenny Rodgers met on a train
this is why the Lodge is a 2nd rate to the Hustler
He checked the turn hoping for a brick on the river so that Taras might bluff at it netting him more value with top set. I’m not saying this is a good play since obviously he’s missing value by not betting the turn in the first place, but that’s how these fish out play themselves when they try to get fancy
He would have called a turnbet anyways if its not all in
Why did Goofy check the turn ?? He really takes his name seriously
Turn should be all in.
can you please calculate for me how this is "-305.000K"? Thanks in advance
No reason to raise before the flop so that I can jam the flop or the turn. I'll just play backwards and let Ace high get there! Now you know why they call me Goofy.
Bet the turn. This is a big boy table. The timid get crushed.
Terrible check. If you gonna play that way you might as well check all three street. Turn you have to go all-in and maybe ask to run twice 😂
Kings not 5 betting kings was the first mishap. Checking turn was even worse. Just shove the turn and if Taras wants to be dumb and call..run it twice and get your money back atleast. 😅
some poker players look like actual mutants.
Should just Jam allin on turn then run twice to split
GTO guys get on trouble with 4 and 5 bets when they hold big pairs. If you get 4 bet when you hold KK just go all in pre. Quit giving people to set mine against you. Make them pay if they hit an underset.
Horrible turn check. The only hands that call that flop raise are flush draws, sets, and big pocket pairs. Anything else doesn't make it that far, given the previous action.
This showing of hole cards when deciding whether to call needs to be outlawed. All it is doing is seeking reactions from all at table in order to see if calling is socially approved!
That check on the turn was goofy
He screwed the pooch on that one, I would’ve shoved with that set on the turn. Taras would’ve highly likely folded.
All in on the turn
Amateur hour
Jesus checking the turn thinks he's got 3 5 after call 50k what a knob
Easy fold river
Bad check on the turn .. should’ve shove and run it twice !
Who checks the turn and doesn't charge the flush draws?!! What else could he have there? Lol
With all the free coaching content out there, everywhere, for all levels, there is still people who are results oriented and try to defend the check on the turn...? 😅😂😂
Yeah but he saved money!!!11!
Lol jk
he could have raised more preflop, too small reraise on flop and bad check turn
Taras has absolutely no bluffs here, only flushes, what bluffs would call the flop?
Checks turn he could have bet for same amount as river call, and had fold equity, plus extracted info. Calls off on obvious river flush. Dude wouldnt even make money at $2/5
Im not gonna be result oriented, but that was really a bad check on the turn, it was obvious that taras was on a draw as you had set of k’s so it’s unlikely that he had the last K, so you should charge his draws on the turn or take down a fairly big pot already, there was no place for trapping here, if you had middle set i understand the check to give him room to value bet his top pair on a later street as he might put YOU on a draw
To be honest, Goofy actually lost the least amount of money possible in this pot by checking the turn by giving Taras the free river card simply because the way Taras plays there is NO WAY he is folding to ANY turn bet with the Nut Flush/Inside Straight combo draw. And therefore, if there was a bet and a call on the turn then the pot woulda ballooned even more whereby there is no doubt all the chips are going in at the end given the stack/pot sizes. So in essence, Goofy save around $100k by the "mistake" of giving the free river!!!
results orientated
donkey analysis
I honestly thought that Taras shouldve jammed river. He is known for bluffing and Goofy probably pays it off.
Goofball checking on the turn to let him see a free card. When it's pretty much obviously the only hand he could be betting with is a flush draw. You deserved to get beat 😂
LOLZ.. WHAT A GOOFY MOVED, SHOULD’VE HAVE SHOVE ALL IN ON THE TURN!
Dear god this guy is actually thinking about folding the river? This is some next level stupid action....
Imagine playing at these stakes and not knowing how to play a set. Mind boggling and I play $5 NL
He mis played his hand. This wasn't a nightmare this was someone that doesn't know what they are doing
Omfg! Horrible check on turn!! Make him pay to see that river!
Why would he check the turn????? He could of won the pot with a shove, charge them for a draw instead of just letting him get there for free 😂
