- Welcome to the trilogy of What if Darth Vader Found Out Leia was his Daughter in a New Hope! Aboard the Alderaanian cruiser known as the Tantive IV, the hyperdrive motivator a broken, and the stolen plans for the technological superweapon known as the Death star were in danger of falling back into the hands of the Empire. Unfortunately for the Rebellion, Imperial Stormtroopers soon boarded the ship, and Princess Leia was forced to hide, so sent the plans to R2-D2 and C3P0 to give to Obi-Wan Kenobi on the planet of Tatooine. Although the plans were safe, Captain Antilles was killed by the Sith apprentice Darth Vader, and Leia was stunned by Imperial Stormtroopers, then taken into the custody of Vader. The Sith interrogated Leia for the location of the secret rebel base, but she remained silent despite the use of droids and Sith persuasion. In a demonstration of power, Grand Moff Tarkin uses the superweapon to destroy the home of Leia in Alderaan, as Vader watched on, with his daughter in pain. But what if Vader found out that Leia was his daughter in a New Hope? What would Vader do in response? How would Palpatine find out? As you are going to realize, the galaxy would look a whole lot different…

Never understood how he did not see padme in leia in canon. The woman he’s been obsessed with his whole life. Weird.
New ideas written as movies were made. In ANH Vader was still separate from Anakin, the emperor hasn't been really finished beyond the idea he existed & at that point Lucas considered the clone wars an event that happened maybe 40+ years prior, not 20. That didn't change until late in the ESB writing process when they decided to make Vader into Anakin. ROTJ gave us Leia as Luke's sister. Padme wouldn't exist for another 15+ years.
My opinion is that Leia is more like Anakin and Luke is like Padme. That is why he didn’t realize she was his daughter

@@pakspider6482 Probably not, after all the only reason anakin turned to the dark side was his visions of Padmé dying in child birth. If Padmé has already given birth to the twins and survived, anakin wouldn’t turn to the dark side in the first place.

So the only thing that's wrong with this is that sidious actually isn't able to physically combat anyone. Remember, the dark side corrodes the user because they technically aren't using the dark side correctly
It’s more likely Vader would start trying to teach her how to use the Force, more specifically it’s dark side. He’d allow Tarkin to give the order to blow up Alderaan to strengthen Leia’s connection to the dark side, now that at this point she may have connected to the force for the first time, although he’d quietly give Leia the option to strike down Tarkin and the Death Star operating crew in order to save Alderaan with a lightsaber he’d provide. It would be a win-win situation for Vader, either she’d give in to her fear and anger and wipe out the command room’s personal, or be consumed with regret, grief, sorrow, and hatred at watching Alderaan be destroyed. Then after he’d continue her training as a means to destroy Darth Sidious, her rapid consumption into the dark side would be felt in the force from O.W. and a very surprised Yoda, who both knew Luke was their last hope now. Assuming Leia and Vader survive the Death Star endeavor(maybe Vader has her taken away to Mustafar before he gets in his TIE fighter to fight the rebel starships). Time would pass, Luke would train as a Jedi and Leia as a Sith. Eventually the Emperor would sense the rapidly growing power in the dark side Leia would have, and call Vader to take this powerful force user to him, Vader complies not having a choice. Then on Coruscant Vader, Leia, and Sidious would privately meet in the Emperor’s throne room, where Vader would explain Leia was his daughter, and the Emperor would give her a choice, join him and destroy Vader, or fight him alongside Vader(of course Sidious would give Leia the impression that the later would mean certain defeat for her and Vader). She might stop to think and consider which one she doesn’t hate as much, until Sidious might start talking about Leia’s real mother, Padme, and how Vader caused her death, which before Vader could even try to explain how untrue that is, as well as before Leia herself could even stop to digest what she just heard, she already would have made up her mind, she would destroy Vader. After a powerful duel Leia strikes Vader down, the last face he would see being one that looks much like Padme’s, although only being able to see it through his mask’s lens before his life came to an end. Sidious would then grant Leia her Sith Lady title, possibly Darth Despara or something to do with the word despair. Hope would be fragile in the galaxy.

Honestly, all these videos about Anakin finding out about his children early are great in concept, however I don’t believe he would train them to use the dark side. I actually believe he would lash out at Palpatine in anger, as he would be obviously distraught over the lie he was originally told. If he taught either of them the force at all, He would do so after redeeming himself as Anakin skywalker following a duel and subsequent defeat of Sidious. I truthfully don’t think that He would Want to teach them the dark side as that’s the whole reason why he’s currently suffering. Not to mention that him believing he killed his wife and children is the whole reason why he stayed cemented in the Darkside to begin with; he felt as though he had nothing left. I feel like that would be different if he knew about his children before hand

The TIE/ln (and most ships of the TIE series) does not come equipped with a Hyperdrive nor Life Support nor Shields by default to make the fighter cheap to produce in mass, but they can be installed for very specific ships if so required by it's owner

The TIE Advanced has both shields and a hyperdrive.

Sorry, I find this story too unrealistic. Vader never wavered from the darkness when he kept running into Luke over and over, in Legends and Canon. Except at the very end, when everything else was in place and it was impossible for Vader to change factions then, he only to save his son and embrace the light. At that point he was still with the Empire, but just a high ranking Imperial protecting his son.
Over the years watching RotJ, and ten years debating/arguing with my RPG gaming shop. Watching the movie and reading the novel.
We voted that Vader was just tired of Palpatine trash talking.

It just doesn't go with what we know of the characters from the movies or their locations in the movies also. Maybe redo this with a little more of a slower burn rather than drop every key character in all at once. It was kinda like 'Vader caught leia & all of a sudden without any reason thought 'hey this is my daughter I never knew I even had' then this key character drops by & this one, oh & palps knows everything that happened cause ... reasons ... so he rocks up to a place he never was in the movies. It made no sense.
