- A 73-year-old British man has died after turbulence on a London-Singapore flight, Thai officials have said.
Kittipong Kittikachorn, general manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, told reporters the deceased passenger had died of cardiac arrest.
He said about 30 people were injured, including at least one member of the crew.

RIP 😢...get well soon injured victims 😞
RIP, guy flew to a vacation, just to never get it and never return
😢
So sad RIP
God rest your Soul Brother.
Extreme turbulence should never ever happen in modern times. These things can be avoided and navigated around! Embarrassing from singapore airlines.
Not sure what led up to this, but I guess many will be wondering if cost cutting is an issue here with weather radar equipment and flight routes.
"Extreme turbulence should never ever happen in modern times.....Embarrassing from singapore airlines."
Meanwhile reports of airplanes hitting extreme air turbulence happening all over the world...
Just to add, Boeing is the best company in the world!
@@SivalinPuthery no it isnt hence why its incredibly rare. I get it its probably your country but they made a massive mistake and need to learn from it.
Always keep the seatbelt on. Think about it, your doing 300 mph plus, if the plane hits a ramp in the sky the forces are massive.
How
Many people were injured and died in car accidents today?
Oh gee...Singapore Airlines couldnt clear itself of the turbulence? Now, they're trying to convince us that the deceased man had a heart attack. How bloody pathetic.
A massive air pocket that force the airplane to descend thousands of meters in a matter of minutes and the fact that they couldn’t detect it on time..even though planes were outfitted to detect such things. ( the plane was boeing).
@@ExplodingVolcano777 Clear Air Turbulence goes undetected by everything. It's basically "clear" and severe.
what type of plane was it
Singapore airlines 777
What he means is Boeing 777, Singapore is the airline, and the type of plane was Boeing 777.
@@djsteep7463 I was bout to say flight number or plane type
stay away from American Boeing and be safe
@@GoodCitizen-gm1tlit has nothing to do with Boeing. The incident was from turbulence.
this always been my phobia when I was walking to the toilet
let me guess, it was a boeing?
FFS. It was a massive air pocket trhat caused the casualties, not the make of plane.
🤡

One of my worst nightmares 😩
RIP and gws 😢
I'm sure Boeing already started to pay air industry specialist to say otherwise. Too many injuries and fatal is not air turbulance. They can't even see that coming in the radar.
Never underestimate turbulence .
Lawsuit about to go crazy
This isn't the USA.
Turbulence is outside a pilot's control and seatbelts are recommended to be used at all times during the flight
I doubt there is any law suit cos it can happen to any plane and is this due to mother nature 😮
Who they gonna sue? The winged dragon of ra.
@@marianogoncalves18 Turbulence is out of pilots contorl, flight path isn't. They went through a notoriously bad flight path for bad turbulence and the plane apparantly had "known issues". Boeing triple 777-300-ER model plane have a radar system that isn't upto date and it doesn't show "accurate" storm/bad weather such has air pockets which this plane flew through that caused the worse than normal turbulence.
Are they going to sue the Mother Nature
The pilot was at the medieval era. He knew what was up.
More than 30000 were killed in purpose and still more in another part of the world just saying, RIP the one person and hopefully quick recovery for the rest.
Maybe Boeing were just getting rid of another whistleblower,..
8 months bonus gone
No good no safety no ratings
😇😇😇❤️❤️❤️
Plexit.
Moral of the story: Fasten your seatbelt while going to Toilet!
Wht?
Its clearly not safe to fly anymore ! 😮😊
It is
Flying is still the safest way to travel. Comparing to driving.
Rip 🙏
Was it a Boeing?
No, it's called not wearing a seatbelt.
It was a 777 but that is unrelated, Boeings are not unsafe. This has nothing to do with the aircraft type.
@@JetstreamAviation747 cap
@@tehcod6157 No, there have been faults found on Boeing aircraft, but this has nothing to do with it. The media has made the situation much worse.
@@tehcod6157Speak real English because there's literally no time saved between saying the word cap and lie. 🙄
It just as to be Boeing ,, they can seem to catch a break 😢
To be fair their problems are mostly self inflicted
@@PerfidiousPuffinhow so ?
@@lizziewalsh275 Management didn't listen to engineers giving warnings. Set up of their business doesn't allow agile response to such issues (e.g. Division with Spirit). Failure to adequately respond at first signs of trouble. It's not just 'bad luck' it's mistakes being made and a lack of seriousness about tackling them.
its alwaysss Singapore :/
As if AA did better
yea so tragic compared to malaysia's MH370
Special Thanks to Thailand 🇹🇭 1st Responders/ NHS to assist the passengers, along with the Special Recommendation of Ministry of Transport..
Too much viagra on the way to Thailand as well plus turbulence big no no
BOEING plane AGAIN and this time they are talking about the RADAR SYSTEM onboard Boeing triple 777-300-ER model plane that dont give normal and expected Reading about the weather ( Storms, etc,, ) on real time when on automatic mode....!!!! I want to add that this problem is well know among Pilots who are flying that model plane and it is also known by the Airlines company and PROBABLY by BOEING itself --- BUT NOTHING IS DONE TO CORRECT THAT RADAR SYSTEM ONBOARD ALL BOEING 777-300-ER MODEL PLANES….WHY..??? And what about all other Boeing model planes, do they all have that same problem regarding their Radar system or not...??
If it's Boeing, I ain't going!
Maybe Boeing has been hacked by Russian intelligence? A massive but well-hidden software glitch could weaken the American economy for decades if it weren't discovered.
Source?
A British aviation reporter said that earlier on a British news channel.
Do your research. The type of turbulence they flew through could not be predicted, it comes out of nowhere and it doesn’t even need to be bad weather.
Those masks were all tangled up, they weren't usable. Im never flying again.
They didn't need masks, the masks got tangled up after a bunch of people didn't wear seatbelts and hit the roof (causing the masks to deploy) during severe turbulence.
Why mention the British person separately? I
Because the person who died was British
its a British news broadcaster , its called bias
