Wow this actually worked thanks man! I've always had a sponge but I thought you needed to go ball to the wall when you spiral with the sponge, but I didn't know to start from the tips slowly and I literally just did it a few minutes ago and it curled up easily and it made a difference. Thank you man!!! Also question, how would I need to wash my hair if I'm doing free from dreads, wouldn't it mess up? In advance thank you.

@@locsman no not really, brushing will pick or brush out what you want to come together, brushing may cause for the new growth to look a bit more loose and like a fro but that’s going to be counter productive to what you actually want to be happening which is allowing the hair to fully lock and the roots lock as much as possible Strong roots will allow for the hair to not have so much tensions the longer they get cus looser hair with haven’t locs heaving off of it can cause more pulling causing more tensions and possible hair loss over time, even with fully locked roots that can happen, unless you mean back combing

    • @leoneforte444

That’s because water actually helps them lock by stripping the built up oil drying the hair and also causing tangling and knotting and matting which is what is the locking process, clean hair locks faster but after every two to three washes add some oil to your hair if needed to hold in moisture, I use extra virgin olive oil
