HOW TO HEELFLIP THE EASIEST WAY 2.0

- The Purpose of Braille Skateboarding is to grow the number of people who skateboard by teaching, motivating, and inspiring. We do this by making skateboard tutorial videos covering every how to skateboard video under the sun moon and stars. By learning ourselves and showing that no matter how old or young you can learn to skate. Part of this is also providing a suggested path to take in learning to skate. Then we inspire NEW people to learn to skate by making videos outside the very small world of skateboarding. We turn an ipad into a skateboard, skate on a big screen TV, and even a door. We focus not only on the creativity here but building the board and then all the way through to seeing what tricks can be done on it. Skaters have always been a creative bunch of people they take the normal ideas of society and change it to create their own world. Most people see a set of stairs we see a kick flip going down them. Our goal here is to take people that may never have thought of skateboarding before and get them on a board.
Brands can email kylie@brailleskateboarding.com for media inquiries.
I have created many ways to achieve the above goal and will list them all below. Different ways for different people so have a look through and see what fits you best.
“You Make it We Skate it” - our most popular series enjoyed bo skaters and non skaters alike - • YOU MAKE IT WE SKATE IT
“Skate anything” - our series where we search out what we can possibly make skate able - • SKATE ANYTHING
Skate board tutorials - learn for free and on your own on CZcams - • LEARN TO SKATEBOARD VI...
“Worst Board at the Park” - we find the worst board and replace it with a new one for tricks. Its all love supporting the community - • WORST BOARD AT THE PARK
Skate support - need help with that trick well watch the video here and send in your clip. We will do our best to make the video quickly but we have a lot of submissions. The end result gets posted on @Brailleskate Instagram - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
“Skateboarding Made Simple” - instead of CZcams tutorials where you can get lost here is a guided lesson plan to take you through the basics and beyond. Instant digital download and get started - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
Skateboard coaching - this is a totally new idea in the world of skateboarding. Get a list of tricks to learn in and submit your clips to a skateboard coach who walks you through how to land them. This is done through direct text messages and video sharing. The best way to guarantee success on your board as you have a person there to help, guide, and motivate you. Hot girl at coffee shop: " Hi my names Angela. Whats yours?"
Aaron Kyro: " Hi my name is Aaron Kyro, I'm a sponsored skateboarder from the San Francisco Bay area"
And I’m gonna buy you a coffee
@@ShroomStreamz After you learn how to heelflip and buy my gear
this got me cracked up
"sponsored" means "no pro"?
@@ShroomStreamz And if you land first try, I'll buy you a Jamba Juice. And pour it over your head.
drag an flick and drag and dragand flick and dragon flick and dragon flip. Do a dragon flip.
Wow. Mind blown
lol
Has anyone else actually done a dragon flip other than chris chann
+danny ajumondo yea. Not that many tho
+Javier Castro ah okay
Can you do a video talking about starting skating at an older age I'm 28 I used to skate when I was 16 for few years stopped because my friends all stopped. Can you guys thumb up so Braille can see my request
+shaolinskunks88 Get married, have 2 kids and they will drag you to the park...happened to me at age 39!
what do you suppose would be different for an older guy
Generally, older guys aren't as energetic and limber, obvi lol
shaolinskunks88 Aaron's 33
I am 27 and I recently started skating again since I was 17 or so. After a few days of practice I can still nollie shuv it pop shove it and ollie down stuff. I am also very close to landing my heelflip. The board always wants to go behind me. Just practice and don't give up there are plenty of old guys that are good at skating.
Everytime I try to heelflip I feel like I'm going to credit card myself
You are most likely leaning to far forward. Either lean back, or aim your eyes at the back of the board, toward your heels. -Andrew
like a chip reader or a swipe?
pay pal
That happens if your front foot leaves the board a bit inbetween the pop and flick. Popsicled.
You're mobbing your heelflip, don't kick forward, kick up and off the board.
5 TRYS!!!! Didn't catch it but landed bolts and rolled away! Sorry im 31 just started skating again after a decade, and I'm super stoked that I can still learn new tricks! I swear I have the footage! I wish there was a place to post it on here so you can see! I have all 4 attempts plus the land!
I’m pretty sure every time he lands that he feels amazing

I've been skating for 10 years and this spring when the snow melted I COULDN'T HEELFLIP ANYMORE!! I literally had no idea what was going wrong I've been skating long enough that I can usually self diagnose any issues, adjusting weight distribution, set-up, truck tightness, changing where/how I flick off and literally nothing made sense. Sometimes I could land them and other times I'd be totally hopeless. TODAY I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT! WHEN LEANING BACK YOU MUST STICK YOUR REAR END OUT FURTHER TO GET MORE WEIGHT BEHIND THE BOARD! THIS ALSO HELPS YOU SEE THE BOARD ROTATE UNDER YOU! before I was literally bending straight down to pop and trying to lean my shoulders back which would put my head behind my knees so I could hardly see the board rotate as well and made you land with your weight way to far forward! Even if the board stayed under me and I jumped on it I'd fall forward when I landed. Pretty sure I'd occasionally do this with tre flips too but it wasn't such an issue because 360 flips rotate in front of you so my weight would more or less even out, but it felt like I was rotating them blindly which made it scarier to catch!
Love how you actually went in depth with the trick tip 👌🏻
Hi lamont
You should do a clip with Braille !! LamonHoltTv
Backside 180 please!!!
I saw you at batb9
+Braille Skateboarding please backside 180
Literally after watching this, 20 min later I start land my heelflips, about 4 out of every 10 attempts, Thanks Aaron Kyro
did you learn all those tricks before trying? like the fs 180 shove it etc?

I've been able to kickflip and varial kickflip for years, but I just landed my first few heelflips today. It feels amazing to finally be able to do the hardest trick in skateboarding. Awesome channel guys, I started skating again thanks to your videos. I must've watched at least 100 Braille videos over the last month.

I cannot thank you enough Aaron, got my heelflips in 2 days.
do you have to know how to ollie in order to do a heelflip? I'm new to skateboarding and I'm curious heh
@@ajlarexhepi6 yes
Thank you Aaron. I've been having a hard time conquering this one. Thanks to you I was able to learn perfect kick flips after 12 years of skating!!
I watched 1 minute and 18 seconds of this video and tried it and landed first try. Thank you so much for all you do!
I think I've finally got the heelflip down. For some reason kickflips are way easier than heelflips. I swear these videos are so helpful. Thanks Aaron

hey Aaron im a new skateboarder, ive only been skating since new years but skate everyday as much as possible when im not working. Ive progressed really really fast and thanks to you i landed my first healflip tonight! soooo soooo pumped I absolutely love skating haha keep up the good work with the channel. Thanks for these awesome tutorials I practiced the steps and went through the line of basic tricks before learning the heal flip. Now its time to finally get into the flip tricks!😃😃
To anybody from Braille: THANK YOU SO MUCH, This video was so perfect and detailed. I used to think the heelflip was impossible for me and I hid from it and only tried kickflips, pop shove its, etc. BUT FINALLY after watching this video TWICE. I landed it 3RD TRY!!! I can't thank you guys at the Braille house enough.
THANKS BRAILLE I struggled for two hours outside yesterday and probably would’ve landed it eventually after days and days but then I watched this video and followed the tips and landed the heelflip for the first time in my life in about half an hour today!
👏 congrats!
Dude your the best, I legit just watched the video and an hour later I panded my first heelflip. AN HOUR! Your the best thanks so much
I know this is an old video, but I remember watching your videos years ago, and I'm just getting back into skating. I got inspired after I remembered your video, and my girl had a skateboard with 1 normal wheel, and 3 roller blade wheels on it, with no grip tape. I remembered the foot placement, and actually landed a heelflip (my first full land) on that trainwreck of a board. I just bought a new board recently, and I'm going to watch your videos all over again to try to really learn how to skate.
Thank you aaron you made my learning days the best been watching since 2014 Keep the good work up man👍
Aaron your heel flips are so much better than when you were making vids a while back

+Jordan Schaub all he does is teach people those simple tricks and he shows his students alot. He got to the point where it's second nature.
thanks it means a lot

I really think this was helpful I almost have the heel flip down just on my 15th go. Thank you Arron Kyro.
Thanks Aaron the leaning back before you pop step really helped me you're the best!
Finally landed my first heelflip today with sms, now I just need to make them cleaner! Thank you Aaron, I didn't skate for a while and with skateboarding made simple I got back into it fast and learnt many sick tricks!
last time i came this early i had to pay child support

"Put your landing gear down"
skating pilot here, now you guys are speaking my language.
I’ve never ever done or tried to do a heelflip before and I wanted to learn. After I watched this video I did 2 tries and landed it on the third one. Thank you!🔥
This is a really good tutorial. Thanks a lot man. I’m almost 30 and I’ve only landed a few heel flips a few times. I’m just trying to get back into skating for the first time in years. But I landed my first couple heel flips for the first time in many many years
Landed my first heelflip today and I can’t even frontside 180
Me too i cant shuv shiiieettt but i can heel flip lol
Duncan Bell wow 😳 😂
heel flip is so much easier to grasp than people think, fs 180 isn’t even the same type of trick at all only recommended to get u more comfortavle
Same bro
Dang I have everything down like alomst every trick but can’t heel
Flip only Varail heel😔😔😔
About 30 minutes after watching this video I landed my first heelflip on a complete, it was flawless too..... I quit skating like 15-16 years ago, what a dumb idea!!!!! Been back into for over a month now. Watching Aaron and the crew just makes me want to rip it all day and all night, lol
Welcome back to the best activity in the world my friend, we missed you
I finally landed it one foot! In a month because of this channel I've learned to shuv it, pop shuv it, ollie, and ollie front side 180
i love u arron kyro i was a step off my heel flip now i can do it this is amazing THANK YOU!!!!!! i know this is an older video but i still like watching all of your videos

Secret #2 is $$$. I figured that out on my own awhile ago and it really makes a difference. Glad to see you highlight it here.
super helpful! Never been able to heelflip even though i have all the basic tricks plus more. That back foot position really helped me thank you!
just got back in to skateboarding after losing a bunch of weight pumped up gonna beast
I think heelflips are ten times easier kickflips
I wud prefer kicflips more than heelflips ...
same
finally someone I can relate to
Same, I can heelflip but I kick the board out to the side on kickflips
I think varial flips are the easiest of them all
Leaning back helped Alot! Consistently Landing them now! Thx!
Thank you! I think I know how to finally get my heelflips down perfectly now!
Aaron is a boss
Agreed
+jamiegriffin this is a coincidence...

thank you so so so so much. i finally landed my first heelflip. you guys make the best skate vids on youtube. keep making more :) :) :)
Thanks for the tips. This is the next trick for me to learn!!
If you watch Braille Skateboarding and VLSkates you'll have whatever trick down in two days max 😂 (practicing for long sessions)
So true
Yuppp before I got my first board, I watched Braille, VLskates and more CZcamsrs doing a tutorial on ollies and other tricks. I landed my first Ollie in a day lmao
Uu
pro tip: if you have iphone, record your tricks with slo-mo if you cant land it, look what you are doung wrong compared to aron kyro
OH SHIT DUDE THIS WAS MY SECOND DAY DOING THESE AND I LANDED ONE!!!!!!THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!!
Hey aaron, just landed a heelflip last week. This trick took so long for me to get (6 years) I think one big thing u could add to to this tutorial that I learned and would like tot share with people struggling with this trick is this. Timing. It is key. When u flick u have to wait like 2 seconds longer than u think. THIS IS SO CRUCIAL. Thx u and have a good day
I just landed my first ever heel flip thirty minutes after watching this video it’s awesome thank you!!!
Finally landed my first 3 about a week ago. After 2 Damn years of trying.
3:46 ohhhh no wonder this always happens with my ollie’s too i’ll keep that in mind
.............
Fore some reason, I'm back skating after more then 17 years because of you guys! In that time, my kickflip was perfect but could never landing a heelflip. Nowdays I s*ck to do a kickflip, I have trouble to flick it. Now I'm so close to land a heelflip! My board goes a little bit behind me. My foot position is good but now I see, I need to lean more backwards before I pop. LET'S GOOO!
I knew how to do kickflips for about a month now so I decided to learn the heelflip. I landed it in an hour today! So thankful for the tips
The newest skateboarding move is also the easiest. Dragen flick...
Dragen flick dragen flick dragen flick dragen flick dragen flick....
But MIgardener skates?!?!
I finally landed my first heelflip today! I practiced it for probably 8 months and I couldn't make progress, but I switched to regular and I can do everything easier now. So if you're as stuck as I was, you could try switching to your opposite (goofy to regular or vice versa)
Wow thats amazing
@@brailleskateboarding Your channel is what got me into skating and I'm super glad for it! It's been mind melting to do and you're always improving
Thanks Aaron, this leaning back thing has helped me. Usually I landed on my toes out of board.
Thank you so much braille, i finally learned how to heelflip. And i also figured out that for me to get the full rotation and keep the board in front of me, was to really put power on my flicking foot. :)
yo i landed the heelflip
Dragon flick. Got it!
Great vid again Aaron, super helpful. I missed seeing the whole braille crew trying the trick though - It really helps the penny drop for me.
Aaron thanks so much for the help!! I did it after 30 minutes and landed bolts!!
Whenever I try a heel or kick flip I just end up doing an Ollie wtf

Thanks so much aaron.. i seriously landed a heelflip in two days.. thanks to this video..
awesome video the trick was described even beyond step by step i don't think a person need more than this to learn it
I laughed when he said full on lance dance 😂😂
Yoooo, i just landed my first heelflip 5 minutes after watching this video!
I finally landed a heelflip it took me 7ish weeks but it was worth it. Thanks a lot for the help Aaron !!! :)
Wow! Awesome video Aaron. I’m a pilot and I also love the landing gear down analogy. Lance dance for shizzle
Skate a house for next episode of skate everything
Lol
+jamiegriffin I was being serious
+jamiegriffin it's not funny dude
obviously it's not funny if he was being serious
I think everyone wants more LANCE DANCE!
I miss it :(
very good explanation. My board always goes out behind me - the most annoying thing in the world. I found having my weight backwards helps a lot to stay above the board.
Wish i knew the back part, Big Secret, now i jus got 2 flic. Thanks dude! 👍🏾
Aaron Kyro: Before you do the heelflip, do the practice movements
*Dragon flip! Dragon flip! Dragon flip! Dragon flip!*
If the Dragon flip is easier I think I'll learn that one first.
Dude you guys will learn so much faster if you just commit from the start and always try and get the rotation with you at least jumping, that's just me because I have them sketchy after a few days.

+jamiegriffin dude stop commenting on every coment lol u just want subs

+Jeff yeah dude i follow him on instagram haha
Thanks. It helped a TON!!!!
Hey guys. I watch all your videos and love it. I love how you teach how to do tricks step by step. I'd love to see either an impossible or a hardflip
For some reason when I try these. My back knee doesn't bend it sort of just goes forward. But I'm doing everything else correctly. Body posture is right, front leg kicks out right. What do I do to fix the back leg pls?
this is exactly what happens to me , i think it's just commitment problems or u just needa focus on jumping more idk i still struggle
Braille crew reads mean comments?
I’m 33. I’ve got all the starting tricks (my F/S shuv is really ugly though) and I’ve landed dozens of heelflips both rolling and still - BUT - they are so inconsistent, I land 1 in 25 at best. These videos help remind me of how to focus and what to focus on! I will double down on the leaning back tip. I can feel the correct balance that way... the more you treat this like an Ollie in your mind, the better!
Damn he was so detailed about the 8 ball thing. I guess Braille is really the stuff to get you to learn better !
i wish i could time travel back to when i was like 8-9 and now i’m 13 if i consistently skated from when i was 8-13 i’d be actually good but... i’m just starting skating again after a 2 year break and i suck 🤣😭

Hey idk if someone is reading this, but my Problems at heelflips is that i just cant jump and land with the back foot, does anyone have some advice with landing with the back foot,i would be very Happy!:)
its a mental thing that can't be taught, although it can be done by trying easier tricks that have you catch with the back foot such as a shuv-it probably
When I was learning heelflips It literaly never went behind me. It was always shooting infront of me. Landing with the back foot is so hard.
Year passed... how did you fixed this problem? Same here...
@@MrAbakoom Yeah. I can do them Now every second try. I dont really know. It's just practice practice practice. Holding on to something really Helped me commit to landing with both feet. Try this and I promise you Will land this quickly.
