Everything looks good but the 2 towers hooked to the front bumper are going to bend. Either the tractor frame or themselves. That's why they mount them in the middle of the tractor
Excellent job Santiago.
Great job Santiago, project and video.🤠
Great video, thanks for sharing. Final product is fantastic 🫶👍🏻
Careful digging like that. Great job!
🙂 Great job, works very well 👍
Wow!! I love it!! This is how Deere parts are born!! 👍 Bro, I just found you!!
Great Job.!!
I have a John Deere 400 that I had dreams of adding a FEL to. Most of the builds I saw had a separate hydraulic system. Was confused why not just use what's already on the machine, figured I was missing something. Glad to see it's possible to just use the existing system.
I have a 400. You can use the remote ports, but it’s kinda under powered on the stock 400 pump. However, if you add a separate pump you can use the remote ports as a 3rd and 4th function.
The stock ports and pump are too slow
@@stevenbeach748 can you give a ballpark time of what 'too slow' would mean? Like it would take 30 seconds to lift the bucket vs 5 seconds?
@@Your_Friend_Corey I'm not sure but in the video you can hear he's got the rpms up and the bucket is going up and down pretty slow. Maybe that's ok for you but most people put an external pump on for faster speeds and more power. The tractor's pump was never intended to do anything but drive the tractor and run a couple of short stroke hydraulic cylinders, like for a plow. All the other attachments are PTO driven and not hydraulic drive.
I also think the fluid would get too hot and you could cook your transaxle which would be expensive. I think it's best to add an additional pump and reservoir for the loader.
Measurement please would really be appreciated. Great work
Thanks for the video. I do stump grinding and would love to add this bucket loader to back-end of stump grinder to haul the grindings. Perfect idea. Thank you
Mate this is brilliant!! You are an absolute wizard!!! I am watching this a few times an planning to have a go in the very near future. Cheers from Australia
Not bad! Not bad at all! I like it!
Nice. I need this for my 332
Wow.you are very talented and it looks goid
Nice work.
Hell yeah!!! It works fantastic, hell of a job, by the looks of it, you've already had plenty of fun with it.
Wry nice work!
I built one of those for my 430 diesel and found that running a cross member under the middle frame and then 2x2 from there up to the uprights made it way stronger. I broke mine just having it bolted to the front.
Me too..😢
Looks great!
It sure be nice if you could have a list of the materials and sizes. Great job
Turned out awesome!
Cool project and I like how you welded that one piece in place using a magnet to hold it in space while you tacked it on, super cool idea.
Kim
pretty typical and that's specifically what those magnets are used for.
You are a talented individual very nice job, be proud.👍👍
I've always wanted to build a mini box grader sized for the smaller tractor.
Nice work. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week :)
Nice build!
Can you also build one with the mechanical parallel linkage?
It keeps the bucket at the same angle that you set as it goes up and down.
😍chique👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Some nice work for sure, but wonder why you mounted it all up front? Almost all loaders are mid-mounted so they are stronger, and do not stress the front of the frame etc....
You working professionally and according to planning.
Excellent job good work
Wow yes
Please all that is mighty can you post all the measurements I have 318 that I would love to put this on
I sold the machine and the loader sorry
Look up P.F. engineering.
awesome job 👍🏼 respect nice tools
good energy
Great job!. Have you thought about upgrading the pins and with greasable bushings? Sounds like you have a Vanguard engine repower... me too
Yeah that’s the engine I got 18hp, yes I will be upgrading so I can grease it
Going to need a ton of counter balance weight! Other than that, it's a great build that's very useful!
will convert my toy with hydraulic this summer
Epic! nicely done! What kind of saw was cutting your metal? is it just a band saw with a metal blade?
Great job ' some rear would help you a lot .
It has rear weight 5 suitcase 42lbs each
Really like the simplicity of this. I may build one very similar. I don't need anything major just pick up logs to my splitter and move mulch and maybe small amounts of topsoil
now, i'm pretty sure that a 317 only had one hydraulic spool, but i could be wrong..... but this i understand: i need more tools 🤔... that bandsaw? ... oooh boy...
Box rake next!
Very nice! Lots of good fab work. You put it to good use too so we could see it in action. Looks similar to the Little Buck. I built one based on the Buford Bucket for my 318. Spent to many hours staring at pics and videos of both styles.
Hello if i build this will it work on my 420 JD? Thanks.
How about measurements, because I like to build me one .plus we're you got those cylinders at,and coast
Yeah I wanna know what size or part numbers on the hydraulic cylinders and where I can get them please ? Great work btw keep it up.

Great job!! I actually prefer that you don’t have explanations and measurements in the video. People should be able to watch and learn. If not, maybe they should stick to building ikea furniture.
Do you have any sort of measurements at all?
Would 1/8 tube strong enough
Please help what size of hudraulics u got and where u got it from
Wow works well I'd change one thing but you really don't half to that looks like frozen ground
If my mower doesn't have a hydraulic pump, how can I add one?
Can this be done with the 316?
What kind of magnetic drill do you have I like the way it’s small and compact
Evolution
I went that tractor.
Is possible to get a diagram of that project you made of the loader
Do you have measurements for all the pieces? Would love to throw one together for my 318 and would be a great starting point
That's awesome I've been wanting to build a loader for one of my Deeres I have a
1972 JD 140 that should work good for the project thanks for sharing
Iam currently building one on my 318 similar to this. It’s using the quick attach like the plow and blower uses as well.
Front end on 318 is just a little different gonna have to figure it out cause I am working on it now.

Hi. My name is Javier, from Puerto Rico. Actually, I'm working on a similar project (like the one in this video). I need recommendations about which 12v actuator should I get for this project. I'm looking for enough strength and the fastest actuator. Would You please let me know more specifications about the one You used for this job? Any specific recommendations in this particular?

Hey do you have a updated link for the 8 stroke cylinder you used that link is no good anymore

Did you have to add an extra hydraulic pump or fluid reservoir?
No I did not
What size hydraulic hose did you use? Did you use a reducer for the cylinder?
3/8 hoses no reducer for the cylinder
@@SantiagosProjects Thanks. My brother is building a loader based in your video.
Do you need a front pto
No
Can you tell me what size tubing you used?
2x2 3/16 gauge
Got a GT5000 that needs some imagination 😉
Were a your from
What size is the hydraulic cylinder? Where did you get it from?
Same question where and what are the hydraulic cylinders ?
Why do I see a busted arm where the hydraulic goes to bucket? That angle looks like it needs reinforcement.
Love it, question what hydraulic power pack did you use please??
I just brought the Cylinder to the John Deere dealership they have everything
Cuanto cobrarias por hacerla una igual a alguien?
Ok idea for very light work but heavy things will bend the frame I would bet on that.
Remember to drill holes in square tubing that you weld air tight. Meaning the crossmembers in this case
Why ?
@@keithclark486 you could have blowouts from the gas getting stuck in there
condensation@@keithclark486
Ήξερα!
Now it needs a small grapple on the bucket 🤔
What gauge is the steel tubing?
3/16 gauge
Take it easy on that old garden tractor, if has already worked very hard for the last 40 years. The hydraulics are to strong for this old rig.
:)
John
How is it holding up?
HOW COME THE JD PAINT NEVER MATCHES. The green & yellow are always a bit lighter.
Cuz he used the "farm implement paint" from a hardware store and not the john deere paint from the dealer. They JD spray paint is about twice the price but looks twice as good if you care.
Why doesn't anybody build a loader the way you would build a forklift!
The bucket should go straight up on a track just like the forks on a forklift.
It could still use a four-way bucket on it.
Thats one of the best jokes I've ever seen for a loader but one of the better emergency brakes .
What was the total cost?
$1,200
It's all Good & fine until you break the center pivot shaft or a axel end! The weight is excessive for the entire front end & the tractor isn't rated for more than a snow blade!
You could buy a FEL for these old boys back in the day.

Don’t get why you didn’t build greasable bushings into all of the pivot points. Those pivots are going to wear out very quickly with those pivot bolts having no support for the weight you’ll be lifting. Not to mention the lack of gussets at any of the joints.
Can someone explain to me why someone would choose to not say anything during the entire build. This guy is talented and the project would be useful to alot more people if measurements and explanations were given. I could see people being able to watch this and build one just by seeing this guy do it but I'm not one of those people sadly. Help a brother out lol. Great job otherwise
With no talking, the video is watchable world wide.

What is the point of these videos with no explanation of the process or total lack of any measurements?
No safety glasses no gloves no protective clothing whatsoever didn't use a clamp he didn't do a lot of things that he should have done because he's on CZcams and if CZcams seen that they cut him off I know
