Michael Cera being a complete degen is still the funniest to me. lol
Slapping Rihanna's back side had the ENTIRE audience laughing out loud! 😂
He said that he didn't film his scenes until later not knowing what his character should be he went by how everybody talked about him.
Michael Cera was out of control. All coked up and yelling about his phone. The part where he dies is so funny.
He is my favorite in this movie even if he's only in it briefly it was so funny it won me over.
They had to re-shoot this scene many times because Rihanna kept pulling her punches with the slap and it didn't look right. Michael Cera finally told her to just slap him for real as hard as she could. In the final take she almost knocked him out.

Superbad and Pineapple Express are kind of prerequisites for this movie. Too bad you haven’t seen them. Definitely should react to them soon.
Yeah... a lot of the references and jokes went over their heads because they are not familiar with the actors(and actresses) and their movies!

Michael Cera and Danny McBride had me dying when I first saw this movie. Apparently, Michael Cera spoke to Rihanna about scripted "slap on the butt" and asked Rihanna if he could really slap her butt. She said he could really slap her butt if she could really slap his face (thinking that would keep his hands off her butt). Well Michael slapped her butt and she slapped his face lol. Apparently it took several takes as well and the last one she really put some heat on the slap lol.
and this is why i keep saying "just say no straight up" boys know if you say something like that they will do it more lol
Love this movie. The concept is great and the ending with the Backstreet Boys cracks me up everytime. 😅
What I love is that this movie does show real parts of the actors lives cos Jay's favourite band IS the Backstreet Boys! That's why they are in the film, and that's why he makes them appear when he is in heaven.

Don't know if it's all that hidden, it is well loved. I went to a screening in Vegas about 3 weeks before it came out and it was the best theater experience I've ever had despite being completely full. Incredible experience with a full crowd

And at the end you find out they were talking about Hagrid but saying Dumbledore. lol

Danny McBride’s entrance in this movie is still my top 3 entrances of all time! Especially with Cypress Hill playing in the background! Love it!

Channing's role was actually Channing's Idea!! He said he just wanted to be in the movie somehow and wanted to be hilariously outrageous! lmfao!!
The role came about when Emma Watson refused to do something outrageous at the end of the film. Her character was gonna have some type of return and she just flatly refused to do it. I've heard her in interviews say that she both had a good time on set and also didn't like the creative process.
@@joelwillems4081 Sounds a bit like she didn't want to be the "butt" of the joke....where as Channing Tatum thrives on it. This and Bullet Train being perfect examples. 😆
@@joelwillems4081His role already existed when Emma refused to do the scene though. They cut that scene entirely and Seth Rogan actually said the film turned out better without it.
Craig Robinson, funny guy. He's in "Pineapple Express", " Hot Tub Time Machine" , "The Office" & "Night at the Museum" truly talented and funny!😂😂😂😂😂

I saw this movie in theatres opening night and the audience reaction was WWIILLLDDD prob one of the loudest theatres I’ve ever been in lol
The Mist (2007) is both a huge inspiration for this film and also a very good one to watch, highly recommended.

My husband and I saw this in theater and it took about 20 minutes for an elderly couple to get up and leave. I suspect they thought they were going to see a movie about the rapture and got a lot more than they bargained for
Haha anybody who goes to see a random movie (or music artist, or comedian, or anything) without doing any research deserves exactly what they get. Anybody who gets offended enough to walk out of a movie they paid so much money for is sensitive as hell in the first place 😂

Jay Baruschel is the voice of Hiccup in the greatest trilogy of the 2010s (How to Train Your Dragon). Jonah Hill was also in this trilogy.
My grandparents went to see this movie with zero idea of what it was about. Guess which scene pushed them over the edge and made them walk out.

You might've seen Jay Baruchel in "Million Dollar Baby" and "Tropic Thunder." Jonah Hill was in "The Wolf of Wall Street" among others films. Danny McBride was in "Pineapple Express" and also "Tropic Thunder,' among other films and TV shows. Michael Cera, the obnoxious guy at the party, co-starred in "Superbad."

Michael Cera's best role to me will always be George Michael in Arrested Development. One of the funniest shows ever made, well, at least the first 3 years.

No doubt that was his teenage breakthrough. Movie-wise, I'm guessing he's best known for Superbad, Juno, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and Nick and Norah's infinite Playlist. I also love him with jack Black in Year One. Of course he's been in lots more films, both comedy and drama.

Fun fact.. my first job out of highschool was at the largest , private owned, chain of video stores in Northern California.. Placer video.. this new chain came to town, BLOCKBUSTER, and out the family owned chain out of business in just over a year😂. I watched this late at night on a whim. I figured I would hate it. Instead, it was hilarious and I enjoyed it. Getting all these stars together and getting them to work together is a miracle. Too many egos on set but it works.

I had the best time watching the movie again with you guys. It is the movie that I think how fun it would have been to be stoned with Seth, created the concept, sell the movie, put it together with your friends, do the outrageous things as fun that people think you can't do. Lots of fun stories inside that movie creation.😊
I watched this movie for a week straight after the first time I saw it. It's probably the funniest movie I’ve ever seen. My mom, who doesn’t even like anything with cussing, sexual content or references, or drugs, was completely cracking up over this movie.
I believe it was the Rewatchables that ranked this as the #1 comedy of the last 20 years.
Interesting. Wonder where they ranked Tropic Thunder because for me there's not much of a gap between these 2 movies.

Idk where Asia & BJ livin, Florida (?), but weed is legal in a lot of states. Cops don't really bother with it at all, even if you have a lot. I don't smoke anymore unfortunately but it seems like things aren't any better or worse, except people aren't getting arrested for it. I guess that's a really good thing. Nothing else really changed though.
They live in Texas (as do I) and cops definitely will still bust you for weed down here.

Interesting fact. Danny Mcbride got his start writing for a movie about James " Bubba" Stewart the first black word champion motocross and supercross dirtbike racer. The movie was never made but it had people like Tom cruise involved in it and was going to be huge but the Stewart family and James backed out
Not only world champion, but the fastest man to ride motocross. If it wasn't for Carmichael, I'd call Stewart the GOAT.

All the actors played themselves. Even the small bit parts. You don’t have to know them all for the movie to be funny, but it’s just on another level comically once you know who they are and the movies and television they have done. This movie is comedy gold.
