Jesus Pwned Those Noobs: The Mark Series pt 45 (12:1-12)

  • This was an "in your face" moment between Jesus and the leaders of the Jews. But what strikes me the most isn't just Jesus' rebuke of the leaders, or how cleverly He does it (so that they cannot charge Him with a crime), or how Jesus integrates Isaiah 5 into this parable of the vineyard. What strikes me the most is how they could be totally aware of the failures of their forefathers and totally blind to those same issues when they were to be found in themselves. God help us to see our lives clearly, for we can all be just like they were.
This is part 45 of a verse by verse study through the Gospel of Mark.

Submission was maybe my biggest flaw (sin). I struggled with it for years. I loved God but not enough to allow Him to be my true savior. Although I claimed it, I didn’t live it. It wasn’t until 2016 that I finally submitted to Him. My whole life changed. I thank God that He kept knocking on the door of my heart.

SO good. Gimme more of this, please!

I had control of my life for far too long, turns out I am my own worst enemy and I screwed up my life in more ways than I have space to say!!!!!! Putting that control back in His hands, he took at least 10 years of bad decisions and turned it all around in under 2 years!!!! Of course, I am still a work in progress, but if I stay out of my own way and let God work, everything is so much better!!!!

The wicked husbandmen did not know the father. If they had known him, they would have obeyed the son. The vineyard has been taken away from those wicked husbandmen, and given to others. Not to a new leader (only a Catholic could honestly believe so), but to a new church.

The governor of CA has enacted several edicts that it's a 'crime' if a parent doesn't approve and assist their own child's trans ideology. And other places are following. Anyone who stands against this abomination is being persecuted, in the courts for now. Everyone who can see and hear needs to get on their knees and beg for God's mercy and forgiveness. Good lesson about prophecy, God's love and long-suffering, leadership, covetousness, pride, accountability, sober-mindedness and judgment to come! Also, a good reminder that the kingdom belongs to God; and that as the leaders are - so often so are the people - hence judgment came upon all! Therefore, we need to be careful that we don't make the same mistake of following men - rather than Christ (cf. Acts 17:11)! Those who chose to listen to Christ escaped the judgment - (cf. Matthew 24).

And then, after Israel (most of it) rejected and killed Jesus, the land was taken from Israel and given to the nations/gentiles. And the land was a shadow of the kingdom of God, that's why the gospel was first preached to the jews and after rejecting Jesus it was preached to all other nations. I know it best as "gamer slang" (video games in particular). I would argue that it originated with the video gaming community, but some of it may be older slang related to something else prior to video games and later adopted into slang common amongst the video gaming community.
Pwned basically means domination in a fight or some other situation against another player with little ability to fight back on their end. (assuming you're the advantaged one)
Noob is slang for a new or very inexperienced player, similar to calling someone a rookie.
I haven't really seen pwned used in awhile. Noob definitely still gets used.

In Revelation, we see both names of the twelve apostles as well as Israel's twelve tribes at God's everlasting city. (Revelation 21:12, 14) I don't believe the replacement theology.

Peace & love to all. Hebrews ch 8 quotes Jeremiah 31:31 to let us know that the "new covenant" has come & it tells us who the covenant is with...Only House of Israel & House of Judah. Many of the teachers/leaders of the western christian church dont teach us this. There is only one bride/assembly/ecclesia/cahol. When we enter into the "kainos diatheke"(new covenant) we become part of the House of Israel or house of Judah, otherwise we are not in covenant with our Creator who inaugurated& ratified the covenant with His own perfect, sinless blood. Jews=Judah/Benjamin (some levites) was the Southern kingdom that went into Babylonian captivity for 70 years. Israel=The northern kingdom of 10 tribes of Jacob's (Israel's) sons. They were divorced & scattered "among the nations." We are either them or can be grafted into them through our belief. I have found no covenant with any of the nations(gentiles)...only those who are called out from "among the nations." Kind of like the mixed multitude that left Egypt, whether native born or a sojourner/ alien among them- they received the same instruction/Torah(1st 5 books of our bible). What is the time of Jacob's trouble for? How did they hear the same gospel at Mt. Sinai that we have?Hebrews4. Many of us dont even know what the gospel is. Many of us dont know why the Savior (who has no sin) was baptized by a man baptizing repentance for remission of sin. Many of us dont know His definition of sin. Many of us dont know all of the reasons why the Eternally Existent One veiled Himself in Humanity & died. Many of us dont truly know Him or follow Him. Alot have religion, though. Many are called, but few chosen. He tells people that worked lawlessness/ torahlessness/evil/iniquity to depart from Him in the Day of Judgement- & these are people that did many mighty works in Jesus' name. We can't point a finger @ teachers when He calls us to balance the accounts. May He grant us all the gift of repentance & forgiveness. Love to all the brothers & sisters & also to those that aren't, as well. I mean no disrespect to anyone here-so if any manner of my comment is offensive I apologize & hope I find your forgiveness. Shalom

Why did Protestants take out the book of Maccabees when it was part of the original Bible?

It wasn’t. The romain catholic church put it in there, but it was never part of what the jews considered scripture (inspired). The RCC added the maccabees as well as several other books that the jews considered important and historical, yes, but not the Word of God in themselves. Those books (the apocrypha) contain many historical as well as doctrinal inconsistencies.

Crazy that he mentions the protests and people not respecting legitimate authority but no mention of cops killing unarmed people smh.

Though I don't find this interpretation objectionable, the Talmud should not be used to reinforce or aid with Christian exegesis. It is full of unspeakable blasphemy against our Lord Jesus Christ. (See the trial of the Talmud or Martin Luther's comments).

You’ve already proven yourself as a false teacher. You have your CZcams following...that is your reward.

Jake Ruzi I’ve already gone into detail about it. Put your faith in someone who denies the truth if you want tho. 🤷🏼‍♂️

iB McFly if you care about the truth, Christ and His flock, then you’ll let us know why we should steer clear of Mike Winger and his teachings. I’m not asking for an essay, I just want to be informed in case you are correct. If you’re not going to explain, your comments are in vain.
