Love Doc Martin we just found it this year. I am really excited waiting for the new episodes to come out 2022.
He is a wonderful actor and he and Louisa have so much charisma. They are great together. I love them both. And baby James Henry.
From Shakespeare in Love, to Arthur and George, to Doc Martin, Martin Clunes is one of the best British actors, bar none. A wonderful man with a great presence.

My all time favorite show. Love the oh so talented Martin Clunes, he is Doc Martin forever. Beautiful scenery, great actors, so funny because the Doc is just so miserable all the time. I bought all 9 seasons on DVD and the movies. I wish they would do 9 more seasons.

I find it funny that this show doesn't have car chases, nudity, vulgar language and it's a big success. definitely the hook that holds the audience together is the estrange personality of Dr. Martin. Good actor.

We have watched all the seasons while being home during the Covid lockdown. It is just the most wonderful show and I don't know what we will do while waiting for the next season to start. We had seen an occasional episode but now know the story from the beginning. We live in New York and can't get enough of the scenery.

I'm a "Yank" and just, just discovered this great show just early last week, and my wife and I have been binge watching this for several days....this is a great show, and Martin Clunes a wonderful actor in this part. I 'heard' there was going to be an American adaption of this but i cannot see how it will work without Martin. When I tell people about it I can only say it's like our "Northern Exposure" but I think its much better. Add two more fans from the USA.

I absolutely love this series because it surprises me and I don't always figure it out like so many American shows....there seems to be more eye contact than in any series that I've watched from beg to end which I think goes to connecting your audience with each of the characters in a more individual way. Outstanding writing, producing, directing and camera work.

I'm a very young 72 ...but the scene i loved was the two seniors ladies with the tattoo's ( do not resuscitate ) OMG the first lady was the double of my nanny everything she did my aunt did as well x it was great fun growing up with them ...

A more recent 3 episode series entitled "Manhunt" with Clunes playing the lead detective in a serial murder case. He's an extremely talented actor. I'm looking forward to much more him and how can one not enjoy Doc Martin. I worked as a Medical Technologist for years and have met MDs just like him although not nearly as funny.
As an American I like Doc Martin because its good humor with multiple intertwined plots. I consider it a British version of Northern Exposure - an American comedy from the first half of the 90's.

I really miss Roger Fenn. I disagree with the decision to drop that character. Doc needs a man friend that isn't a Large. The Larges are great, but they aren't an "equal" with the doc. Fenn was an equal that could have added a good rounding to the insanity of the village, or the propensity for everyone to dump all blame on the doctor.

I don't know, I think the Doc's social isolation is an essential part of his character. Having actual friends undermines that.
