I know this is random but I'm so glad that I own the same brush set like yours. This video really proves that the value of your supplies doesn't define the outcome of your work. With determination, focus, and patience, you'll achieve your desired result. Thank you Miss Jess, I felt overwhelmed by painting these days but your contents never fail to inspire me :) Thank you, I'm motivated to continue to paint again!

Being honest I don’t think that the art supplies matter (too much) but the thing that matters is the artist

It's true that not all art could be great just because of expensive art supplies, but it could be great by your skills. I have try some of hers tutorials and I am improving, so I think not everything should be expensive just because to look good but practice is real work for art...

My sister lives in Australia. When she came back here in the Philippines...she shops almost everyday because everything is super cheap here. A lot of items is Australia is like 5 to10 times the price compared here.

Very cool painting. I'm going to try a cheap set of gouache and paper. I don't really have an art store near me but officeworks sells a reeves set 12 x 12ml for $23 AUD and some reeves watercolour paper for $10 AUD so that should be good enough to have a play and see if I can adapt to gouache as I normally paint with watercolours.

How do you clean your used pallett after finishing a painting like this? or do you just leave it with those slight residues of the other colors that come from dipping the brush in when mixing? Im new to the idea of working with this open cup guache colors oposed to the classic tube colors. Would you squeeze out your more expensive tubes the same way and mix them as well by blending them just dipping the brush into your main color cup?
