    As organisers of the Red Dust Revival we do not want people to think that this is the type of chassis for Perkolilli cars. It is important to note that this car is not eligible for the Lake Perkolilli Red Dust Revival 2022 in its present form, and it will not gain an entry unless it is modified to comply. The Red Dust Revival is for cars from 1914 to 1939 built with original chassis components. Cars with modern chassis fabricated from RHS are not eligible. The event is designed to capture the spirit of pre-war motor racing on the dry claypan. The organisers of the Lake Perkolilli event have contacted Jordan and he has committed to building a car which is more suitable for the reenactment event. People all over Australia have been building cars to take to Perko which are helping create the atmosphere of early motor racing and we applaud them.

    • @bennettscustomsco
      @bennettscustomsco  Před 2 lety +1

      Nail on the head, and absolutely correct- we have began to change and modify this to follow the guidelines you have for the race. I new video circling this is coming out for any viewers concerned about the guide lines. See you all at Perko!

    • @lakeperkolilli7658
      @lakeperkolilli7658 Před 2 lety

      @@bennettscustomsco Thanks Jordan. We're really keen to see you with a pre-war style car. There have been some comments that the Red Dust Revival has made the rules too restrictive but nothing much has changed from the last event - cars made from pre-war components built as they raced between 1914 and 1939. It's not about who is fastest, more about having fun.

    G day one question how's the the SWS plasma ?
    I have just bought the alumatig Tig welder it goes ok but I do need a new plasma I was thinking about one but I am not sold in the alumatig just yet
    And one tip if I need to blend in a non critical braze like around the rear spring purch I silver solder or flame braze that in as you can get the solder or braze to wet in to a nice fillet without needing much sanding or profiling to blend it in
