honestly I love The Legend being a Hollywood producer type, really fits with the whole vibe Vought had going on in the 70's-90's

Ironically enough, the legend doesnt sleep around in the comics. At least, he aint as obvious about it as in the tv series. However, he did have a son with Maeve(who sleeps around in the comics)

Making the Legend a producer that is old hollywood to a T was one of the best decisions ever. Season 3 was peak.
The legend is truly underrated character in the series... I am happy that his first full appearance was put on CZcams finally

Show's gonna peak in the final season when Homelander takes over the White House, creates a Superhero army, and begins annihilating America while Billy & The Boys struggle to re-group.
I am curious about this in retrospect with the new season. Why is it that several heroes may age slower then others and Homelander, being the arguably most powerful still ages?
Maybe cause of the tests they did on him as a child.
Some supes given it as an adult age slower like Soulja boy and stormfront as they were intended to be special although some given it as an adult probably still age normally, for supes like Homelander who were born with v in them they had to age as they'd otherwise stay as babies
They made homelander, unlike the other two they didn’t want him to have eternal youth. Just my guess.
Could have been something they added into his genetics when they made him. Remember that the government and Vought had been covering up Soldier Boy's bullshit for decades with no end in sight for being basically immortal. At least with Homelander, aging would be a means to an end in case he became trouble later on and they couldn't stop him any other way.
All they had to do is wait unless this season is implying he's aging at a faster rate?
Vought made Stomrfront immortal because Nazis don’t have a lot of foresight. Soldier Boy was given an experimental version of V (probably same or similar to stomfront) as an adult so he doesn’t age. After the whole debacle with the Russians, Vought probably considered it too much of a liability to make homelander immortal, especially because he was to be the most powerful superhero.
I miss Soldier Boy.
Growing up I saw Paul Reiser in my two dads then mad about you then pop-ups in movies and tv shows from time to time. However its appearances in these dramas that hook me. He can play almost any character.
I absolutely love how every time The Legend brags about one of his accomplishments, he looks over to Hughie for his approval😅

One of the few times with The Boys i think the comic version is better. Casting is solid but this Legend is just...sleaze. Sleaze and vulgar. But comic Legend is way more compelling. The creator of the fictional mythos meaning he knows alot about what the supes are really like in order to twist it. His relationship too with Maeve.

The show is a bit inconsistent. Stormfront was like 100 or something in season 2 and looked maybe 28 and soldier boy was at least 70 but looked in 30s, but in s4 Homelander is said to age and looks maybe late 30s. But isn't Homelander the ultimate v juiced superhero? so shouldn't he look like 21 or something if his real age is only 41?
Maybe they had planned obsolescence built into him. It would be a wise move, but then the show might not be nowhere near as smart as I give them credit.

Reading the comics really made me not like how the show did Butcher. They changed Butchers character to accentuate all his bad qualities and diminish the good. they also made people in the show react to Butcher like how everyone felt about Butcher by the end of the comic.
You must be joking. Comics Butcher is literally as bad as Homelander in his own way. That was the whole point.

He was a lot more complex character in the comics, in the show they strip a lot of his charisma and personality to make him more of a one-dimension character. While a walking red-flag the boys, the legend, and others liked and respected Butcher. In the show they just make it like everyone hates him and he's a burden 24/7.
