    Hey! This is awesome. I followed you other tutorial and made a pretty great basic kaleidoscope. What are the functional differences between this one and your previous prototypes? Fantastic work and thank you for sharing 😊

      Thank you for your comment, I hope you enjoyed making your own kaleidoscope! The difference is that I used real glass mirrors for this one. Check out this video if you'd like to build something next level czcams.com/video/qzFX29IhBl4/video.html

      @@my-pixels so are the patterns coming in through filter sections down the side still? And a gem at the end? I am particularly unable to understand how you made the curly little symbol I see projected around at certain points. Very cool 😎

      @@catbat06 Yes, the light comes in through the white glass and everything else are just reflections.

    Great Job, and thank you for sharing! Where did you buy the stained glass sheets?

      Thank you! I buy stained glass from local suppliers in Vancouver. You can find one closer to you by simply googling stained glass. Almost all of them offer shipping.

      I'm so happy to hear that! It means you've broken through big time on your kaleidoscope builds. I picked up a whole Bunch of tools, as well as 1st surface mirror and acrylic mirrors to give it a go as well. Thank you for sharing your builds with us on YT. Your results look astounding!@@my-pixels I hope that you continue to share your how to videos, because they are fantastic! Move over David Sugich! ;)

    Would you mind sharing the name of the white glass? The one for the light to pass through. Amazing job btw!

      @my-pixels  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Sure. I use different glasses but I believe the one that I used for this kaleidoscope is called solid white opal. It's not as beautiful as more expensive glass though.

      @@my-pixels also, how much did you spend to fabricate this small scope?

    • @my-pixels
      @my-pixels  Před 10 měsíci

      @@gasadedae5344 I spent a lot because I had to buy different stained glass sheets, first surface mirrors, high quality soldering iron with expensive lead free solder. The precise glass cutting table alone costs $500. It also takes some time to make it, so take it into account as well.
