2:00 I made an ERROR❗️ There should be Switzerland 🇨🇭 instead of the UK 🇬🇧 as the first 7 participants of Eurovision. Sorry about that and thank you for noticing that ❤
Bambie Thug is also the only Swedish entry this year despite being from Ireland as they are half-Swedish from their Father's side and Marcus & Martinus are Norwegian not Swedish!
Another fact: The two countries that had their most recent victories in a leap year (Switzerland and Ireland) are both represented by non-binary artists, and are also both 4th in the running order in their respective semis. Switzerland is also the current favorite to win the contest according to odds, which would make Switzerland the first country to win 3 times by only winning in leap years.
One of the reasons why I wanted Tali to represent Luxembourg this year is because most of the lyrics were in French and I like when ESC artists sing in one of their national languages!
The thing about Luxembourg singing in English is quite trivial since it's their first time participating since the rule that you gotta sing in one of your native languages was abolished.
2:18 CORRECTION: The UK didn't compete in 1956 - the UK debuted the year after in 1957. The actual list of countries that took part in 1956 is: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands and SWITZERLAND (who hosted and won the 1956 contest in Lugano). Hope this made sense and have a wonderful day.
the fact about teya doing some of the backing vocals in the code actually makes so much sense and clear loads up for me since i first heard the song i kept thinking that there was something in the backing vocals that sounded like "who the hell is edgar"
*ERROR!* : For the first time since 1993, All 7 countries (Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Germany, & *SWITZERLAND* ) participated in the first contest ever (1956) will perform on the Eurovision stage again. *It's Switzerland not UK because UK chosen to not send an entry in the first Eurovision contest ever in 1956 in favor of organizing their own contest, the Festival of British Popular Songs.*
These final facts were very interesting, I gotta say!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Also, I liked that we can vote for longer in the Grand Final because of the fact that the voting lines will be open in the beginning (before the 1st performance) and I think this is also cool!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like this video, and there's some things I didn't know, so great work! I'm a bit saddened that everyone seems to forget this is the first time Australia has Aboriginal language and music - and this is the biggest audience for the world's oldest continuous culture. It's a big deal for us, and I know it's not a culture Europeans are used to or will care much about, but it shouldn't be dismissed - It should be embraced just as much as the other native language/music songs!
That voting from the beginning change for the grand final is pretty smart, since statistically speaking countries that perform in the first half are less likely to win
1:19 So I have a chance to represent Poland next year? Lol. The fact about male duo host entries is inaccurate. Ukraine 2023 is not a host entry because the contest was held in Liverpool, UK. It was only pre-qualified as the winning country of Eurovision 2022.
if it's not a host country when why tf was it not in the semi finals? The show was held in UK but Ukraine co-hosted it and there was Ukrainian acts and a host 💀

Yes that is true!
Talharpa (Puulup's 1000 years old instrument) also has swedish roots 😅
@@emokter8577 but to my knowledge instruments don't have feelings

@tobiashollander1386 no they're non-binary so they use they/them pronouns instead of she/her. Hope this helps!

Never knew about the leap year fact but remember they’re both going to be 4th on the semi finals when Eurovision uploaded the video
Rim Tim Tagi Dim is the only song written and composed by only one person.
Like Brunette last year :)

They could have used english between 1973-76.

You're right, I don't what happened that I exchange UK with Switzerland... Sorry for that!
These were actually very interesting facts, thanks for gathering them
Great video! For those who were confused (like me), Nebulossa DID audition for UVPSM 2023 during 2022
I have another interesting fact about Eurovision 2024:
It is the first edition ever with all neighbor countries of Germany.🇩🇰🇫🇷🇱🇺🇳🇱🇨🇿🇨🇭🇧🇪🇦🇹🇵🇱

Teya was the backing in "the code"??
That honestly surprised me
That last one is poorly worded - he wrote/composed the climax, not Veronika

Luxembourg 1974 contains English lyrics 😉

That intro was ICONIC

BTW ioved Ochman from Poland
Interesting fact: the Netherlands is winning Eurovision 2024💃
They shouldn't change the voting system at all! Why?!
We need another version of Contestants born in the country that not represented!
No problem 😁
MY FAVORITE IS ITALY
Everybody vote for Croatia please
My Queen Tali 🥰🏆
Azerbaijan used azeri language in 2021 for the first time

Ukraine was supposed to host but that wasn't really possible now, was it?
