This is small. Consult gynecologist. 1st u need blood test bHCG , if this is +ve , according to wk , followup ultrasound can be done after 15 days to see growth and viability.

Hello, today I had an HCG blood test done and an early ultrasound due to monthly ectopic pregnancy. My HCG is 4323 and there is an amniotic sac (0.328cm x 0.537cm) visible and nice thick mucus, my gynecologist said. However, the gynecologist knows that my HCG is so high for this term (4w5d) and that no yolk sac is visible yet. I'm very scared now. Do you have any idea what could be going on? I am on cycle day 30, normally I have cycles of 24 days. Thanks for your thoughts.❤
Don’t worry. Repeat scan after 15 days. Preferably TVS ultrasound.

@Stekwinkel Hcg level is not very abnormal. Some variations can occur. Also at 4 wks sometimes G sac not visualized in uterus.
So relax and repeat scan after 15 days is important

Dont worry. U can do bHCG blood test. This will show that if pregnancy is +ve and for how many wks is this . If +ve , Wait for 3 wks and then go for TVS ultrasound.

Intrauterine pregnancy must be visualized , otherwise there are chances of ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage.
U can do bHCG blood test , and follow up scan after 15 days

From 4.5 to 5 wks , on TVS ultrasound, gives a good view of 2

Yes , this can show thickened endometrium and a tiny G sac.
But only.
If pregnancy is normal , with accurate LmP , and TVS done by experienced radiologist.
We dont recommend this early scan. Because if duo to delayed pregnancy, G sac not seen , it gives great unnecessary stress for mother.

This early G sac at 5.2?wks is good. Rest of all will be diagnosed at follow up scan after 15 days , for fetal viability, also there are types of twins. Single pregnancy will be diagnosed when 1 fetal pole visualized on ultrasound scan.

Many Early or weak pregnancies can abort without any specific reason.
But with spotting many pregnancies continue normally.
U have to wait.
Then repeat ultrasound and bHCG after 3 wks.
I'm 6weeks 1days pregnant and after first USG. I got the report and it shows - "bulky and slightly retroverted gravid uterus with single gestational sac having live intrauterine embryo of about 6 weeks 1 day maturity as per CRL "

Pregnancy is alive as soon as it is shown in scan. Abort without any complication hv many risks ,
U should give birth to this baby , and then after delivery, there are multiple procedures to prevent from pregnancy.

LMP is from 1st day of last periods.
But this is not always accurate.
so if 5 wks , it is possible for only 3 wks pregnancy.
Only patience and wait can make final diagnosis.
