I made this video two years ago when my channel was like a month old, I had 25 subs, and thought at most 50 people would see it. Genuinely can’t believe my dumb meme video actually got a million views. On the one hand I’m grateful, it helped my channel a ton, on the other hand I’ve made so many better videos and yet this one gets recommended relentlessly 😂 Either way though, thanks everyone, it’s a dream come true 😊

I was hooked on Ann the moment she looked at us under the overhang and also when she broke down at the cafe about kamoshida being a pig. I had that overwhelming desire to help her beat his ass for what he did. Plus, all of her interactions are really sweet in nature. She seems to show the most concern in the original game when you’re arrested at the end.

I'm having the fortune of dating someone like Futaba. She's a caring, needs tons of love and attention, and is also a gamer. And ironically she's not as near identical to myself.
She learned to love herself through her own efforts and of course she received some help but it feels nice being a part of her life. I'm actually very proud of our relationship.
I'm sorry if I didn't say something funny. I just wanted to share it since I'm happy about this. Felt like it.

Iwai is so much more suitable than Akechi tbh. He's clearly a great guy just with a dark past. The lengths he goes to for his own son as well as the player character makes it hard to deny.

I chose Kasumi, mainly because I firmly believed she is the most canon lover out of the other ones in P5R, but also because I enjoy her personality and story a lot more.
plus both of her hair styles is the best, in my first play tho where what I do is basically canon in my books I was dating kasumi(she got a 2nd name but that's spoilers the ending of the game)

I just chose Haru because it makes sense with the MC, their relationship seems the most serious in the future, they have similar tastes and Haru really has a crush on him. For me Haru is just perfect for the protagonist, I don't know, it's quite canon and easy to choose her.
Also, I think Ann is way better than people give her credit for and Makoto is way overrated on the romantic side.
I chose Haru too. But only because I didn't really have a preference and the game seemed to be pushing me in that direction. She was so easy to rank up it just kinda happened.

Also, I really like how Ann's only requirement is level 2 kindness. It shows how she understands Joker from head to toe following the scene where she lets herself cry in front of him and he looks at her with such empathy and understanding, due to his own circumstances. And that's more worthwhile in a relationship IMO. So, yeah, for me, Ann will always be special.
I also prefer Ann cuz it just makes more sense for me,I haven’t played quite far into the game(I’ve finished Kaneshiro’s palace) but from what I can see is that Ann seems more like the kinda girl who’s more of like the spunky and energetic partner to Joker’s smooth and cool headed personality which I love in romances in jpgs cuz the two personalities complement.Sojiro even assumes that maybe she’s Joker’s girlfriend (after Madarame’s Palace).I thought I was the only few who saw that the two seem to have something cuz even at Rank 2 Joker has the choice to say “I love you”,I’d feel guilty to like the pairing cuz parts of the fandom note on Shiho and Ann’s connection but at least I’m not the only one who likes Ann with Joker.

I chose Makoto because she's relatable and had a lot of care and love put into her writing. She's an independent woman and insists on being equal in the relationship with Joker.
And also because I want her to step all over me but that's besides the point.
Same goes for me. She really has a character that is more complex than most of the other ones, plus she has the most adult and reasonable, no bullshit attitude.

1:57 Sae was actually meant to BE a romancable confidant, theres unused voice lines for her in the game files.
The Hifumi one is too accurate in my case. She was the girl next block, instead of next door. By some miracle, I was able to reconnect with her 15 years after my family moved out of that neighbourhood. I only made her life miserable in the 3 years we were in a relationship. Here I am, 12 years later, still unable to get into a new relationship.

Why does everyone think Haru is a sadist just because she likes fighting shadows. It’s not like she’s attacking real people. She even felt bad when her father died, even after everything he’s done to her.
I just think Kasumi is the sweetest and the prettiest. I always feel attracted to people who care about other feelings. Fun fact is that I didn’t like her in the start, I had preferences on the book girl skull, I don’t remember her name. But, as I saw more about them, it actually became the opposite, I don’t like too much the intelligent girl, and now my favorite is Kasumi for sure.
Kasumi's personality type was analyzed and is supposedly INFJ. They say "opposites attract," and this also applies to relationships. Odds are your personality type is ESTP, or something close to it.
I did not need to be called out about my boy being Akechi. But really, he is my favorite character in the game, mostly because we don't actually know what his reasons were for continuing to kill after he figured out what it did was, other than just... revenge. So you can project whatever you want in there. My favorite is that he was a kid who was taken advantage of and got in way too deep to stop without being next on Shido's sh*t list. Does this excuse his actions? No, but it does mean that he should have gotten the chance to make amends and actually deal with the fact that he was basically a weapon, ATLUS! Love his character, hated how his Arc ended.

I've never thought of it before, but Shiho as a Confidant would've been interesting. Maybe have her physical recovery be tied to your progress with her, and have hers and Ann's confidant paths intertwine once a certain point is reached (except Romance, because Harem ending is a pot of water too hot to handle without Sojiro)
Sadly there is a limit how far screenwriterы can go in this type of games.
Interwined stories of the Confidants, different kind of relationships with the same Confidant (more options than just friendship/romance), indirect influencing...
Like, I've come to Maruki, and every time I was there I'd got +5 sp. How much sp had got Ann, Ruiji, Makoto and Haru? Zero. Won't it be cool if other characters also gain stat bonuses overtime, just to show how they don't spend time doing nothing? And won't it be cool if this sp bonus they got overtime become bigger when you deepened your bond with Maruki, making him more effective in his councelings?
Every time I looked at the chair in my room I've got a hp. Ruiji was spending his time running and training. Why this hadn't affected him at all?
But all this amazing stuff will bring a combinatorial explosion into the screenwriterы and game designers work, and most player probably won't even notice it. It's better to spend time polishing a main story.

I’m an Ann guy, I don’t even use Instagram. I just like her up beat personality without the constant senpai bomb, if the Kasumi fans are wondering why I prefer Ann over her out of the poppy waifus. (Not hating on sumi, she's great too)
Ann also might be the most chill female in the Persona series that I know of. She actually laughed when Ryuji gawked at her when most females in these games would punch him

As a Haru lover, I resent him for killing Wakaba, a good person, much more than for killing Haru's dad who didn't care about her and would willingly sell her off to be in an abusive marriage.

I personally like Kawakami for the same reason the Homeroom Teacher in P3 is my second favorite character there, they're both so relatable. They're overstressed ad a result of their jobs and need to destress. That said, the destressing is what ends up leading to them unintentionally becoming romantically involved with their games protagonists, which while unrealistic is comedic.
