I just rebuilt my 2007 Chevrolet 4L60E following Jimmy's tutorials and it works again! Fantastic video series and presentation. Never thought I'd attempt this procedure but he made it easy as well as ordering the parts I needed. Highly recommended, thanks Jimmy!

@@kbail152Mine wad jammed in case, it was unusable, I had to buy a new case, New Used case. Never could get snap ring off. Half way was it. Couldn't compress spring cage due to jamming to side. I had some bad metal chips in transmission due to failing Pinion Gear, causing many other failures. Hope u had a good outcome!

I have been trying to decide on paying alot on a rebuild unit or having mine repaired at a shop. watched your videos and decided I will fix it myself, I ordered the master kit and a few other bits this morning, look forward to piecing trans back together and going for a drive, thanks again.

A NOTE: People needing to replace Capsule, I had to Tap my old one. Couldn't get the 3/8 bolt to THREAD into it. It took me awhile to figure what problem was, i didn't want to damage wall for Capsule, so I was very cautious. I did get it out with much Effort! Good luck on your 4L60E rebuild!

And if any other one would like to chime in and if there’s any upgrades or anything we can do better to make the transmission better please let me know will be starting the project in about two weeks

You'll need a hammer slightly smaller than a Ford hammer! Then when you're really frustrated doing it a big sledgehammer just to smash it and go buy a new one just kidding I have rebuilt about four of these and still learning new things like the accumulator Pistons wearing out different causes of failure!

Excellent videos nevertheless. After watching these I wound up calling the telephone number on their website and placed an order for their deluxe super kit. I'm planning to make my own tools like they did in the video for some of the simple things like spring compressor, but I did also buy the reamer for the valve body upgrade from them.
They just added 4L80e rebuild kit to their site so I am really hoping they do a video for that transmission too!

I am curious about the case bushing; is there a lip like on the pump? I put mine in with the notches in the wrong position, so I drove it right out through the back, even the tool went through! I repositioned it and drove it back in with the notches around 8 or 9 o'clock and 1 o'clock, but played around to get it nearly centered, annd by the time I finished, you could see the bushing's seam, shaped like an "S". Should I remove it and use Loctite and reinstall it? ALSO, is there any reason I couldn't install the rear aluminum Low-Reverse piston now and order another bushing and install it later, after the piston's in? Thanks.
